I can't believe you lot. This is being taken way out of context. Do you not have anything else in your life other than this club?

Going down the ground to "save your little manager".

Pathetic.

Can't listen to radio or anything here obviously, but if anyone else gives an interview today please can we make it perfectly clear that we're not trying to blackmail SSC into staying. We just want him to know how much we all love him. We don't blame him for our relegation, mistakes were made, but lots of people were culpable. He is the only one who can give us a chance to get back into the Premiership and if he's thinking of leaving because he feels at fault, perhaps our little get-together and messages of support for him will show him how we truly feel about him. If he decides to go, he'll go knowing that we, the fans, think he was our best Manager ever and with our gratitude and thanks for what he managed to do for our little club. Or something.

Points of pedantry:-

1. Does it really have to be "Save our Steve"? - yes, yes I know the programme's changed, but the radio, etc don't seem to be getting the message.

2. We, the undersigned would like to urge Steve Coppell to remain as Manager of Reading Football Cub. We are 100% behind him and can think of nobody we would rather have as manager of our club and to lead us back to the Premiership. Relegation might have been disappointed, but losing Steve would be even worse.

Should be disappointing.

I know it seems I'm being a bit fussy, but it's all fuel for neutrals/other fans who consider us a bunch of inarticulate no-marks.
