What is wrong with Tom Ince's wrist?

Sure he's had that strapping on since he first joined us

I have noticed other players, not only Reading's, who wear a bandage on their wrist. Could it be that it is used for wiping sweat (if they generate any!) from their face, neck etc.? That is the only non-injury reason I can think of.

May be as simple as having previously sprained or broken it, leaving it weaker and prone to recurrence, so strap it up to make sure its protected.

Good news on the first 3, probably not worth risking Sarr if he isn't ready. A place on the bench at best I'd say but wouldn't be throwing him in, a lot of games coming up after the WC and rotation will be necessary I'm sure.

Good news on the first 3, probably not worth risking Sarr if he isn't ready. A place on the bench at best I'd say but wouldn't be throwing him in, a lot of games coming up after the WC and rotation will be necessary I'm sure.

For sure, would probably be looking for Sarr to have 45mins with the U21s maybe and then ease him in gradually.

Sadly/Happily depending on your view on him, after a long term injury like Moore has had setbacks are always likely. Often it happens that the bad initial injury doesn't end the career but the subsequent smaller injuries that just happen like clockwork end up stopping the player making a return.

Yeah, he's not the first one to suffer a setback to a long-term injury, but obviously doesn't help our overall situation.

Tetek just feels like he's had a 18-month hamstring injury by this point.

The break has definitely been a benefit though, to only have 3 players out injured at this point, 2 of them being long-term, should stand us in good stead for the next few games hopefully.

He also wonders whether he's pushing the players too much in training but says he can't ease off because the players are asking for more. Surely he should be guided by the sports scientists, doctors and physios, not the players?!

I think a lot of this comes down to how good, or as the case may be not so good, the medical department at the club is.

I can fully understand the players willing to do more in training of course as they'll want to push themselves and that's the attitude they should be promoting, but it will all come out in the wash eventually. We just need to keep players fit for as long as possible, easier said than done.

Apparently, whilst dancing at the team Christmas party, Liam Moore has suffered even more injuries than first reported.

Along with the injury above he has also got:

- Suspected concussion.

- Agravated his old shoulder injury.

- Suffered a couple of fractured metatarsals.

So the list now reads:

(Rumours that he also received two black eyes, a punctured eardrum, lost a tooth and suffered a nosebleed have been great exaggerated)

Even if we don't move him on, we may as well use him as part of our squad for 6 months anyway, it's not like he isn't capable at this level, just not as good as he was a few seasons back.

Tom Mac 50/50 Hutch not available- why i don`t now, assuming still injured, Sarr still not ready. Moore another 4 weeks, Dann should be get a run out with the U23s next week. Azeez should be involved. Lumley fit.
