RoyalChicagoFC **UPDATED Wednesday 2nd February 2011 @ 8:30 AM Eastern U.S.**
Just a reminder of what I first reported a few weeks back:
The league match at home to Queen's Park Rangers this coming Friday 4th February remains scheduled for live screening on Fox Soccer Plus, with kickoff set for 2:45 PM Eastern U.S. time
Fox Soccer Plus is a premium cable/satellite subscription channel --I myself don't get it, even though I'm on DirecTV and subscribe to a "sports tier" for an extra thirteen bucks a month that gets me regular ol' FSC, GolTV and a few other things
FS+ would cost me an additional $15 a month, and I won't pay it; any football pub worthy of being called such will be open for business and screening the action live
Two repeat screenings on FS+ of the QPR match remain set, with the first going from 8:00 PM Eastern on Friday nite and the other at 6:00 AM on Saturday morning; the nightly Fox Soccer Report on FSC should have highlights on Friday nite from 10:00 PM Eastern
I would imagine that Setanta will have it live in Canada --but as ever, Canada, Oz and everywhere else should check their own guides for details about this one
That may be it for the 2010-11 season as far as screenings of our guys' matches in the U.S. goes --fixture rearrangements for TV haven't been announced yet for dates beyond 2nd April, and we've got a couple of tasty matchups in there (Forest and Leeds --both away and scheduled for the 9th and 23rd of April, respectively) that may tempt Sky to do some tinkering, so do watch this space
Meanwhile, those with a serious interest in the general subject are invited to read on for the skinny on RFC and major European football competition as we screen it over this side...
General notes regarding U.S. TV arrangements for 2010/11:
Setanta US, which held the rights to Football League match telecasts, is now defunct and has been absorbed by Fox under the brand Fox Soccer Channel Plus. It's a premium subscription channel (available, e.g., on DirecTV channel 621), and they have taken on Setanta's past role of screening the Saturday tea time matches
It should be noted that the Fox Soccer properties have multiple contractual commitments (Premier League above all, plus Serie A and MLS), and the Football League is near the bottom of the pecking order; for this reason, RFC TV matches, when shown, in all likelihood will be shown on a same-day delayed basis with a smattering of repeat screenings
Available at a subscription rate of $15 per month is FoxSoccer.tv, which screens the Saturday tea time matches live and archives them afterwards
As for other action, both Fox Soccer Channel and FSC+ will continue to screen live and delayed Prem and Serie A fare on matchdays and throughout the week, and FSC outbid ESPN for Champions League when the deal came up, so that's where one will want to head on European matchdays for the next few seasons at least; FSC screens matches across several of its U.S. channels, including cable network FX and local Fox Sports Net affiliates (and DirecTV subscribers will have their choice of all but one --check Channel 480 for the menu) --and, now the Champions League final has been moved to Saturday afternoon U.S. time, it will screen live on free-to-air local Fox network affiliates. For access to FSC's main listings, look here
FSC also shows World Cup and Euro qualifying fare, England friendies, FA Cup ties and England international matches at the junior levels; for England's senior international matches, it's a matter of pay-per-view/pay-at-the-pub until the matches screen for free on FSC on a few days' delay
GolTV continues to bring a steady diet of live and delayed Primera Division and Bundesliga fare to screens across North America
ESPN will be showing Spanish Primera Division matches live throughout the upcoming season, but their schedule is staggered, and the particular channel on which matches will screen can change from week to week
Absolutely indispensable to the U.S. enthusiast is ESPN with their ESPN3 streaming platform, with Primera Division, 1.Bundesliga and Eredivisie galore on there --the football junky's paradise, well and truly
They archive whatever they show, so those who can't be there as it happens may try to remain ignorant of a given result and tune in at their leisure. I believe that registration is no longer required to access the stream, but access does seem to be restricted to North American IPs

Setanta Sports Channel-Setanta Xtra/LIVE: 9 of 38**

*Among these were all 5:15 Saturday, 4:00 Sunday and stand-alone Monday matches --thanks be to Sky for moving the fixtures to odd times, which left U.S. platforms with no real choice in the matter, as they show whatever game happens to be played at those times
**Among these were all stand-alone 12:45 Saturday and 1:45 Sunday matches, for reasons as stated above

Aren't you 10 hours ahead of UK time? If that's true then the match will start at 10.45 pm (7.45pm in Perth)
Edit - didn't realise that you were talking about the QPR game, I thought you were talking about the last game of the season
