Some random:

Our new owners took a train to London. Helicopters are so over-rated.

Agreed. If they're rich enough to buy a football club, why are they on a train.

Also, why are they speaking English

Furthermore, how does this person know they're Thai unless he was following rumors.

"We Thais are glad we've bought Reading FC and are now enjoying this magnificent train!"
I think not. I join you in calling Bullshit.

But would they *really* be slapping each other on the back about a done deal on a railway station platform? Really??

Charles Watts ‏@charles_watts 2m

For those asking, yes, I believe a deal has been done. Signed today. #ReadingFC has a new owner, a Thai billionaire.

Jonny Fordham ‏@JonnyFordham 57s

SOLD: Royals signed a deal with Thai billionaire today - pending FPP test #readingfc will have new owners within a month

Both of them tweeting it as a done deal.

royalgrumpy Not a consortium from what I was told this afternoon. The guy behind this has his own money and unlike Anton, isn't reliable on backers (i.e. his father). He's also very ambitious and the feeling after the talks is he would match those ambitions with investment. If it happens, expect it to be wrapped up quick. 10 days was suggested earlier, but all parties want it sooner.

Now confirmed by Fordham and Watts, just FAPPT to do.

If true, fingers crossed, let's hope they are prepared to put some money up front for Nigel and NH to do some dealing when the transfer window opens without waiting for the FPP process to go through.

Believe deal to sell #readingfc was brokered by Pairoj Piempongsant - he helped shift #mcfc to Sheikh Mansour in 2009

Fantastic stuff. I'm sure many will call for rationality and scepiticism, but for now I'm going to allow myself to dream of a prosperous future for Reading FC.

Looking forward to seeing how Nige spends his £50m summer budget.

if this is true then thats brilliant! 9.9b is probably one of the highest net worth owners in england. hopefully the debt is now been paid off, and we can start figuring out alternative ways to bring in cash so we can still operate fairly under FFP. i just hope that this wont be another anton experience!

Expect stadium rebranding to Redbull Arena or something if that is the guy. Could be a future shirt sponsor too.
