I see progress as we didn't even play that well today and still won comfortably.

8 wins, 3 draws, 2 losses in all comps.
6 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses in league.
I'll take that form.

Technically we didn't lose at Stoke.

I was just thinking about editing based on that fact. I'll do it now.

Royal Rother Highest goalscorers in the entire League structure. (7 more goals than we had scored after same number of games in 2005/6.)

......and the best goal difference in the entire league structure as well.

I feel sure that Schards is enjoying his Saturday evening more now RFC have won yet another match than he would be had we lost. However negative any fan feels it is a better feeling to win, hopefully RRFC will win him around in the end, and sooner rather than later at this rate.

Whatever your view at the start, however you thought this season would go,we all have to take our hats of for the management and team. Im so in awe of them all. All the new players are on fire, kebe, stretch, rosi, bikey, jem, nhunt all slotted in so well and the old heads are having to raise their games to compete, competition everywhere bar lb. Scoring at will.creating loads of chances, and playing some super footy. Its getting a very familiar feel to it all.

Well if we continue our form then I can't see any team getting in our way bar Brum. One thing I've noticed at times though is we look a bit shaky at the back. Need to sort this out if we go up as you can get away with a lot more in the Championship. No complaints so far this season though.

Hopefully we will get about 20,000 for the Donny home game. With the way we are playing I don't see why not.

We had more STHs than Brum last year, and we've got more this year. Not massively surprising we got a bigger crowd today.

The early disappointing results (in my opinion) came while the team was adjusting to each other and learning how to play together

I'd argue that that wasn't quite the case.

Starting XI today: Reading: Hahnemann ,Rosenior ,Ingimarsson ,Bikey ,Armstrong ,Kebe ,Gunnarsson ,Karacan ,Stephen Hunt ,Doyle ,Noel Hunt

Starting XI (plus the sub) vs Forest: Reading: Hahnemann ,Rosenior ,Sonko ,Ingimarsson ,Stephen Hunt ,Kebe ,Harper ,Matejovsky (Cisse ,42 ) ,Convey ,Lita ,Doyle

Bikey was absent with leave but that's a change of nearly half of the team. I know the easy comeback is that its a squad game and that we've had injuries but we've changed all but two of our forward/midfield line and remember that Cisse has been in and back out of the side . Key things, for me, would be moving Hunt from his eager-but-limited left back position (I used the phrase 'dropping hand-grenades around the pitch' wrt his role in the left wing ... does a hell of a lot more damage, doesn't it?) and the formation of what appears to be a strike partnership rather than two individuals.

I'll accept that there will be some level of growing to the team, teammates and style but I think a greater impact might have been the changes to the playing squad.

Royal Rother That surprises me.

Me too, they had a higher average crowd than us last season, were cemented in the top two with a good chance of going top, which they did, looks like being live on tv had a big affect on their attendance, 2500 down on the last home game, I reckon they would have had well over 25k other wise.

When this post was first raised, I was definitely against the motion. Of course I could see we could and would progress.

Now, I'm not sure I can see much future progress.

Top scorers of the 92
100% record at home
Best goal difference of the 92
(In fact, our goal difference is higher than almost all teams have scored in the Championship)
Beaten the two most in-form teams in a week.

Tell me how we make progress from here !!!
