LOL @ Patney!! Passed out before we'd even got to Ealing!!

Didn't someone (Aggro) swipe the match ticket out of his pocket then lob him on a train back to Reading??

Hugo Boss I too missed this game but it was due to being absolutely plastered. Passed out in a boozer near Griffin Park.

I hope you weren't the lad laying in the street, throwing up into his pint glass.

Probably.

Served at RAF Leconfield and followed Leeds in their hey-day

Arrived late o Leeds v Kilmarnock (4-2) and had missed ALL SIX GOALS

In my memory I arrived in the 20th minute to miss all six, but I think that must be wrong

I turned up 15 mins late to Bristol City away back in 2000 i think. They went 1 up just as i was approaching the ground, 2 just as i got in and were 4 up after 70 mins, when i left.

Vague drunken memories of leaving that game at half time. Definitely left early anyway. The day of misery was complete when a Stella can full of p*ss fell off the parcel shelf of the car I was in and landed in my lap.

A few years ago now I worked in central London and commuted on the Central Line from Liverpool St to Epping. One tuesday night I was on the way home and remebered RFC had an Associate Members Cup game against Leyton Orient. Mrs Strap was out that night so I thought, what the hell, I'll get off at Leyton and watch the game before going home.

Got off, and wandered up Leyton High Road to Brisbane Road. Was quite taken aback by the lack of traffic but thought maybe as an AMC game the crowd would be small anyway. On reaching the "stadium", I was slightly perplexed to find all the lights off, gates firmly locked, and hardly a soul in the area. Now it was well before kick off so I wandered off to a pub assuming that things would liven up nearer to 7:30.

It was only whilst being served that I asked the landlord about the game - to be told it was at the Mad Stad! Yes, I felt a complete tit!!

I didn't go to Murty's testimonial because I thought it was the day after it actually occurred.

Bristol City away in the 80's I drove down there got lost, didn't get to the ground till half tme. We were 3-0 down. They still wanted me to pay full wack to get in.
So I just turned round got back in the car and came home. Wise move as that was the final score.
