Nobody's mentioned the 1927 FA cup semi-final v Cardiff at Molineux which we lost 3-0.

There's a pattern emerging.

I confess I wasn't able to make that game personally due to unforseen circumstances, and technically speaking we were Biscuits at that time, but I think it still should count.

FA Cup game vs Arsenal. How the hell did 27,000 get into Elm Park!!!!

Thanks to my Dad for queueing up for my ticket- simpler days when you got given little slips to show you had attended previous games.

Where's away to Port Vale - 3-0 in '79 ? The 11th clean sheet. In fact, where's the other 10.

What about Reading 3 - Chelsea 1, particularly the Gilkes - Horrix - Gilkes - goal

And topically, what about the 6 we put past Swansea away.

I thought it was Hicks (free-kick) and the 2nd leg wasn't that bad. (that is if i am thinking about the same game)

Defo Hicks free kick. The 2nd leg has to be the wettest ever soaked on the terraces. Colin Gorden scored both in front of a massive 8,000 crowd packed in to the bridge that night.

I was sat in with the ChLOLsea fans that night trying to sit on my hands but failing miserably :D

Did feel sorry for our lot stuck out on the open terrace getting absolutely soaked.
God, Stamford Bridge was a shitehole then!

4-3 Plymouth
13th win at Lincoln
4-0 win away at Port Vale, not let a goal in for sooooo long, Steve Death legend
Trevor Senior hat-trick in 2 mins?
Simod final was the only time that season we actually played football and not kick and rush (rumour was that the players ignored Branfoot and played it their way). Mick Tait flying header crashing off the bar and nearly rebounding on the half way line.
