Congratulations to BR and the Swans. We'll hopefully be competitive next season.

FT Reading 2 - 4 Swansea :( :( :( :(

We made a game of it but that's about it. If Jem's shot went in instead of ringing off the post it might have been a different result. Shit... :( :( :( :( :(

Done in by that second goal. That was just a nightmare from the moment Zurab overcommitted in the middle. Good, passionate performance otherwise. Please let there not be too much of an upheaval for next year.

I'm going to say good. A) because it did not go to extra time, it's already midnight here and B) because I like the championship, good football, an open league, you never know who will win it, or who will go down, and you don't get kicked week in and week out unless you are really bad.

The first season in the premiership was amazing, but lets face it, we sold out best player at the beginning of the season and have seen what replace him? We were unwilling to buy players of quality in the premiership when we lost sidwell and we would never invest enough to stay up with this team. 8 or 9 of these players would be in the first team in the premiership, we'd lose every week.

Swansea have one player good enough for the premiership. Either they risk all to stay up and do a Hull or they will be down next season. At best they can do a Blackpool, but I can't see it happening. Good luck to them. I remember Swansea v. Reading at the Vetch 2005 and Swansea were in the 4th division, not bad in 6 years to get promoted 3 times!!

Put your bets on Norwich and Swansea to come straight back down!

Shame. We didnt stand much chance at half time. Came back and had a great crack at it. And if the goal was an inch wider we could have been going into extra time or maybe even have gone onto win and be a premiership team.

Both penalties were definitely the correct decision. Both silly challenges from two experienced defenders who you would expect better.

Great 2nd half effort from the lads. Just have to look towards next season and hopefully we can be promotion contenders once again.

On another day we would've won. On another day, we'd've let in 5. We were in a pub in Sydney, the only noise from Swansea 2nd half was for the pen (oddly enough) we otherwise bossed the 2nd half to got with the first 20 minutes. Of course, we lost but we were not outplayed.

One of these facking days we may just get something in these play offs. Otherwise - go straight up next season.

Proud to be a Reading fan. Always.

PremAddict WHY can't Jobi just dish the ball off instead of doing a good run only to be dispossessed?????

Because McAnuff is total sh*te..thats why ...he wasted so much good possession in first half esp and is a lazy canter ...id be happy to get him off wage bill next week ...heres hoping anyway

Mcanuff is one of the better players in the team. On his day, he cant be dealt with and can single handedly tear a team apart. Yes, sure he is inconsistent but most wingers are.

Besides, if we were to get rid of him (and assuming Kebe goes, as expected)...we would be left with HRK who has had 2 or 3 very good games this season but for the most part been very ineffective...and antonio who would appear to be not cut out for it at this level (although in fairness he hasnt had much of a chance to prove that he is).

Bet you were not saying that after his goal against Cardiff.

There are 2 players today that will be feeling terrible for the stupid decisions they made. Jobi tried hard, but sometimes you just don't get the breaks.

will be on big money (for Reading!) and doesnt do his shift ...he can play accept that, but only when he feels like it and can be assed to do so which isnt enough - today he gave away possession far too often and despite having a 10 minute cameo in the 2nd half , he didnt do his shift..as he hasnt in many games this season ...its all opinion and we dont have to agree ...you think hes important to Reading, I dont ... all imho

BBC game stats make interesting reading. Did we really have 19 goal attempts to Swansea's 6?

TBH I think Swansea scored in the 1st half with 3 of their 4/5 attacks!

You had more of the ball but didn't create much before the break and had so many more corners afterwards.

The shot that hit Swansea's post and Hunt's follow up being blocked really seemed to deflate you guys and Swansea got their act going again.

Even worse is their attempts on target: 4...paints a bad picture of Federici's day IMO.

He made a real mess with their second goal, apart from that didn't have much chance with the others

Never said you were wrong. Just discussing my thoughts on it.

I dont disagree that sometimes he can be a passenger...but i feel that for all of the time that he spends not doing much, its worth it for the moments of magic that he can produce. Especially when you look at the alternatives we currently have. Add to that the likelihood that we wont spend much money on getting a replacement of a high enough calibre to replace him.
