One of those games where you're not sure if it's the opposition's lack of quality or Reading's brilliance, but the first chunk of the second half was immense. Just left Barnsley for dead. Roberts deserves the plaudits, but I think Hunt has been superb over the last few weeks. Karacan – peerless second goal – and the Pearce-Gorkss partnership stood out. Barnsley looked the opposite of earlier this season, even Steele, who I've always liked, looked rather average.

Thoroughly enjoyable day-out, took the kids for their ever away game, sunny Spring afternoon, four goals, friendly locals and pints at £2.06. Lovely stuff.

I think it was a mixture of poor Barnsley, good Reading. Barnsley have lost Vaz Te, and they were playing an eighteen-year-old and a debutant. You don't get many easy games in this division, and Reading did well to pounce and ramp up the goal difference.

LoyalRoyal22 I actually thought Roberts peformance against Leicester was his best all round peformance so far

Really? I thought it was his 'worst' so far, that game was the Hunt show - he was still decent though

I love this. Full marks to our man for being so open and enthusiastic, the same as he is on this board.

On the other hand, I think it is only totally cool to hug players if about twenty are doing it at once. When there are just three, it comes over, like, a bit awkward. :)
