urzmikep Why is everyone predicting what the score of the Forest (H) game is going to be tomorrow night as according to the BBC we're actually playing Bristol City instead..........
Southampton manager Nigel Adkins says he has not given up on winning the Championship despite Friday's defeat by promotion-rivals Reading.
Saints travel to Peterborough on Tuesday and are three points behind leaders Reading with three to play.
"The objective is to win the division, alright Reading have gone three points ahead," Adkins told BBC Radio Solent.

Reading host Championship strugglers Bristol City on Tuesday and could earn promotion if results go their way elsewhere.

Big McC Superstitious view of those secretly confident of a win but not daring to appear over confident or want to jinx it?

winchester_royal Lets not get carried away here though. Forest have a puncher's chance, there's absolutely no reason why they can't get an early goal and then sit on it and watch us get nervous.
On paper we should win, obviously, but this is football and things don't always go according to form. Leeds had chances with 10 men to win it, Coventry had plenty of opportunities etc..so to say this particular match is a forgone conclusion is pretty short sighted.
Indeed right now Wigan are 2-1 up at the Emirates....it may well be different at FT, but it shows that there's no such thing as banker in football.

You're completely correct of course, no guarantees but all these people predicting we'll lose surely wouldn't put their money on that outcome

Unless they were very superstitious and thought it might help us get the three points.
