Can't identify with it. Not an easy song to sing either. The video I keep playing is the Southampton match one set to Tying Tiffany: sums up the season for me, and I like the tune--it's got under my skin, and I think I'll be playing it forever.

Extended-Phenotype Clichéd song. Not very stirring. Definitely doesn't work with footballers scoring goals.

And what's with the strange cuts? Jason Roberts scores a goal and it cuts to ALF celebrating after his goal, then later shows ALF's goal. What's the point of that? It's just irritating.

Sorry, I was unmoved. And I normally burst into tears watching mobile phone footage of a blurry man whacking something pixelated into something fuzzy to the sound of some generic jazz.

Reading that back it sounds like I cry to porn.

Well said. Even the part about crying to porn, we all have once in our lives.

It isn't even in any sort of order. cut from the POF to the Southampton game...

It's ok, but I don't think it really works. It's not in the same league as previous efforts or some of the ones the fans have made. I don't think it's down beat enough to start with given it includes the POF defeat. And it isn't triumphal enough throughout and at the end. I'm not overly keen on the highlight goal clips and all the weird cuts and angles.

Top marks for trying something different. But a mediocre 6/10 for the final product.

Alright Spielberg

Sorry, I'll dumb it down just for Paul and Arthur.

Nice idea, bit shit.

I think the Andy Williams version is a lot better and far easier to sing, so this may be the way forward. Either way I'll still be singing!!!

We should adopt this song as "our own" why not, whats to loose?

we would only need to sing:

This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far

To be willing to give
When there's no more to give
To be willing to die
So that honour and justice may live

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

Those 3 verses are very powerful and would work without a doubt

Did many people sing this on Sunday? There were a handful of us up in Y19 but not much noise until a big URZ at the end. I think the other version (Andy Williams) would get a better take up, it's nice to see the club trying though.

It's really easy to steal youtube vids if you use firefox as your browser.
Download this, and away you go.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/easy-youtube-video-downl-10137/

If your still struggling, i could maybe set you up a link via mediafire.
Just post me the link of the video required.

The trouble is that we don't want it to be an impossible dream do we. Impossible is an absolute - you quite simply cannot achieve it, by definition. What we want is to achieve the improbable dream, not quite so poetic, I concede!

I'd have taken that score at the start of the game.
