Because if we press them, we risk being tired and unable to do anything. If we stand off a bit more and wait for Swansea to give it away or the chance to make an interception, then we will have the energy to counter attack. McDermott has used this strategy before and it has generally served us well.


It works well against some teams but not Swansea IMO

Tabb and Karacan in central midfield? Fark me that's an average pairing in the Championship let alone at this level.

You can see Brian's line of thought though; he switches to two DMs and we score 5 goals in 2 games and everything seems to click. For that reason he put Tabb in over Guthrie.
