Tamworth_Royal Reading are the first ever team in the either the League Cup or FA Cup to score five goals and lose the game.
Just to remind people
So we are the most defensively inept team in English cup football history?

Yea but these reserves have played for England (Walcott) and Russia (Arshavin) and Switzerland (Djourou). Arsenal do this every season - the only two players that haven't played for the first team are the keeper and that Miguel geezer oh and Yennaris. So they pretty much had a first 8 out didn't they?
It certainly wasn't a reserve side how little clubs might Reading might define it. Chamakh is a £15m striker for a start, and Jenkinson who you haven't mentioned has played every game this season iirc.

Exactly and they are a class above us. We got beaten by a club who came out firing after a crap first half - where is the surprise??
by southstand67 » 30 Oct 2012 23:20
Rumpole The surprise is we were 3 goals ahead after their 'crap first half'.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not agreeing with any wider point here.
If we were 4-0 up against Barcelona, or Brazil, after 45 minutes, I'd still expect us to win the game.

Avon Royaljd82 Let's get a bit of perspective eh....
Reading 5 - 7 Arsenal >>>>>>>>>>>> Reading 0 - 6 Bristol Rovers
Like anyone gives a flying fuck about some lower league nothing game.
There will be people in remote African villages laughing at us tonight.

Rumpole As others have said, if a manager can't hold onto a 4 goal lead against a bunch of kids, then he's a complete fukcwit.
Our problem this season is closing out games, that much is obvious - what the hell is McD doing about it? oxf*rd all on tonight's evidence.

Forgot the penalty call and the extra time in the 90mins
That was awful

If that's a dig at Feds then you're completely wrong. He made some great saves during the game and would have been remembered for that had his teammates not conspired to throw away the game with their naievety. Twice they had the opportunity to play safe and see themselves through to the whistle by keeping the ball in the corner and twice they decided to try to attack still, conceded possession and gave away a goal at a critical time. Then when they got so close to penalties they did the same for a third time. So, So STUPID!

You are an idiot. Yes we were poor, but we were 5 seconds away from a 4-3 win. We were a poor refereeing decision away from playing 10 men in extra time. We were a a refereeing decision away from being 5-0 up when we were not given a penalty.
Yes other things went for us but it could have been very different.

Royal91 Fine you've added on 2 mins more than you should of. Why I don't know, the is REF IS A oxf*rd.
More annoyingly though
koscielny should have been sent off twice.
Face it, extra-time with 10 men having played 90mins, is a lot more difficult than 11. koscielny started the attack for the 6th goal as well.
But these are excuses, sorry McDermott but as much as I like you, you're tactically inept and should go.
At 4-2 Guthrie who should of been at least on the bench, should have come on and slowed the tempo.
Federici is SHIT
I can see why QPR got rid of Gorkss he is simply woeful and has been in every single game!
