Royal Lady Not sure how he got a thigh injury when he was allegedly fine, then told to stay away from training etc etc.

Allegedly told to stay away from training, which was denied by the club when Brian stated he trained Sunday and was expected to train Monday as well.....keep up!

And on that note, I am now going to watch this match through my fingers, like I do when watching a horror film. Schards is front row upper tier, between goal and far corner as you look at it on TV, so look out for a very irate man shaking his fist and mouthing obscenities throughout the game!

LOL at thinking it's McD's decision to omit Pearce.

Exactly. This has got Hammond written all over it.

Got £10 at 9:1 Roberts first goal
and £20 at 25:1 Reading win 1st half, QPR second half victory. Might soften the blow.

And if McDermott's getting overruled by someone else when it comes to picking the team, he isn't a strong enough manager and should leave.

What I don't understand, as a layman, is, why didn't they renegotiate contracts as soon as the season ended in May - if players like Church and Pearce were up for contract renewals, they could have got them to sign a new contract much easier, because, Pearce, in particular, would never have thought he wouldn't be playing.

Or did Rodgers tap him up at the end of last season - who knows? But like I said, you play your best players regardless of your personal like or dislike for them and if Hammond is to blame, he could well be the person who puts the nail in McD's coffin this afternoon.

And what contract do you give him? We may have bought a defender that meant he never played. He may have played an been absolute shit. It's a solid decision to wait and see how he performs. But as PoTS last year and our best defender this year, if he wants parity with some of our higher defensive earners, we should give it to him now.

It's not the negotiations that are the problem, it's him not playing.

I know that Ian, I'm complaining that it seems he's being left out because he won't sign a contract. And I really don't think they base a contract on whether someone who POTS that same season is going to suddenly become shit over night.

I think Brian's theory is that we will recreate the first 40 minutes from Tuesday and that QPR are too shite to recreate the rest of it.

I do hope he is right or he is going to look very weak.

That interview with McD about Pearce sums up what a farce this season has become.

McD was on saying that Pearce was dropped for Morrison because Pearce rejected a new contract and Morrison didn't. Dellor 'did his nuts' at the thought of Pearce rejecting a contract and Ady had a dig at the club saying that they don't value their players.
