"Here's how I see it: The time for changes came a long time ago," the 29-year-old insisted. "But this is a question for someone else. Not only yesterday, but generally in the last few games we've looked weak."

Ooof, take that McD

Feel bad for him. A mile better than our other strikers, just doesn't get the service.

When we did provide good service we scored twice... but both were kind of lucky...

Just like Steve Moran and Colin Gordon

If only they'd had the service...

tbf i think alf and nhunt have scored more than expected.
pog has scored a few, but doesnt look good in a struggling team, and roberts has played really well, but failed to score in the league

I really feel sorry for pog, he's come into a shit team and then gets slagged off for not performing. Can't put the blame on him for not playing within our style( hoofing it). Brian should have known his style of play before we brought him in. At the game last night only 2 occasions did we play the ball to his feet, both times he turned his marker and created a chance. Either play to his strengths or shut the oxf*rd up moaning

r-sport Pogrebnyak reckons Man City could smash 12 past Reading this weekend. Nothing like a confident striker to give the side a boost.

Pogrebnyak said the time had come for coach Brian McDermott to bring in some fresh faces.

So he hasn't even grasped the concept of the transfer window yet

Even if true, that's not as bad as failing to realise that playing 4-4-2 is fatal against Arsenal (and many other PL teams), particularly when the cental two are poor old Legs and Tabb.

Could be that the fresh faces Pog is calling for are some of those frozen out by McDermott such as Pearce and Guthrie.

Anyway, having dare to question Brian, Pog will no doubt be another player struck by the injury curse!

Interesting.

So for some reason Alfie does get the service?

A good striker scores even with bad service.

Hell even I will score with exactly the right service.

Just to get some perspective on this superstar striker.

In league goals he is our SIXTH best goal-scorer

ALF is yet again proving he's a natural finisher and has a highly respectable scoring rate under 180 minutes

Hal Roson-Kanu (who should be played more) has a brilliant 189 minutes, brilliant for a winger

Kebe may currently be flattered but his figures are excellent

Noel Hunt, much-maligned, who runs his socks off for the team has a respectable 1 in 3 full games score.

Then comes Morrison, a 21-year old newbie who last year played League 1.

THEN the Pog.

864 Minutes 5 Goals 173 Minutes per Goal Le Fondre
566 Minutes 3 Goals 189 Minutes per Goal Hal Robson Kanu

458 Minutes 2 Goals 229 Minutes per Goal Kebe
566 Minutes 2 Goals 283 Minutes per Goal HUNT

604 Minutes 2 Goals 302 Minutes per Goal Morrison
730 Minutes 2 Goals 365 Minutes per Goal Pogrebnyak

432 Minutes 1 Goals 432 Minutes per Goal Guthrie
659 Minutes 1 Goals 659 Minutes per Goal McLeary

1170 Minutes 1 Goals 1170 Minutes per Goal Gorkss
1440 Minutes 1 Goals 1440 Minutes per Goal Leigertwood
0706 Minutes 0 Goals 9999 Minutes per Goal Roberts

The question for many of these players is
how would they be if they started regularly and played 60/70 minutes?

For me it would be Roberts-Hunt (to wear sides down) for 60 minutes, then Roberts off, ALF on and on 70 bring on Pog for Hunt

But none of the players or combos is getting enough of a run to form a real partnership

Remember how eventually Hunt-Long worked so well?
