Brian's been talking about there not being much money and the need for experienced prem players this window..and now he's willing to make a 23 year old who's never been out of Africa our record signing?

It's a misquote. They want 5m euros and we have offered £3m. Arsenal offered £1.8m. He wont come here in any case, we're just a useful negotiating tool.

fair enough, with pearcey more than likely leaving in janurary surely we need another cb though? maybe this is a real punt at getting him and not just a negotiation tool?
