Royal91 I wonder if we can make 400 passes against Crawley.

You favour a replay and extra time?

Certainly not, just confidence we can actually out pass a team in league 1!

That confidence is very misplaced. Crawley will mix it up and have a real go at us. We'll be our usual all over the place self, hitting hopeless long-balls and hoping for a bit of luck on the counter.

Was concerned about our fielding a weakened side but, thinking about, we could make 11 eleven changes and field a time that could pass for our first choice:

Taylor

Cummings Gorkks Morrison Shorey

HRK Tabb Carrico McLeary

Hunt Le Fondre

Or even have Roberts in a 4-3-3

If the attitude is right, we should win. I would hope Brian would be desperate for a win to help confidence and momentum regardless of the competition.

Reading and Crawley have similar odds of over 2/1 to win on Skybet.

Backed Reading.

Best current odds on Reading I can see are 6/4 with William Hills.

It depends on what team BM puts out. If its the reserves then I'm worried but if it's a motivated full strength side we should be ok. This will be a physical game so we need to put a physical team out.

The official site 'team news' article for this game carries a picture of Simon Church in training, grinning like a simpleton.

I have just noticed who the Crawley Town captain is. SDR can now get really excited by the prospect of finally getting to see Gary Alexander on the same pitch as us - I recall him wasting a lot of repetitivvvvveeeee spelling to tell us how much we neeeededddd him a few years back when we were in the third tier. We have obviously really struggled since then by not buying him instead of all the other options available to us, while Alexander's career has flourished at the top ( or not ....?).

You know it makes no senseeeeeee.

Crawley to nick it with us playing an understrength team.

Not fussed about FA Cup would trade a day out at Wembley for PL survival any day of the week.

Call me weird but I'd rather be in the FA Cup final than guaranteed prem survival.

FA Cup just seems more like what football is all about.

If I thought that, that could actually happen, I'd agree

We are 6/4 to win, can not believe that we are this long against a league 1 team!

He will still be a lower league player though, and we still be a PL team. :D

According to the Crawley Police Liason Officer :
all pubs are away supporter friendly. If you dont fancy Redz then there is the Half Moon PH right nearby and pubs in town
