To be fair to Leighterwood, he is given the role of breaking up Chelsea play and much of the time he doesn't have anyone to pass to: there isn't really a plan B as an alternative to closing down Chelsea and scoring from set pieces or on the break.

Can't believe it. We started really well, playing good tight passing. Worked them hard, even looked the better team. Then they started to warm up and we started to hoof more. And momentum changed completely. Still, we're keeping them at bay fairly comfortably and then they go and score an absolute peach out of nowhere. Torres plays a great chip, Mata times his run perfectly and finishes sublimly past Fed who can't do a lot more than make himself big.

Balls. Balls. Balls.

One thing I've noticed is that our movement and positioning isn't nearly good enough. We rarely have a three player triangle in place with the point being the player on the ball. That makes it too easy to force a poor pass or make a player look long when we should be passing short.

Still, as long as it's just the 1 goal, we're in it. I fooking hate Chelsea though, the spawny bastards always seem to fluke something against us to get points. It's not even like they usually look like they've convincingly beat us. It's a Lampard deflected shinner, or a Torres offside goal.

unlikely we'll score directly from the kick off, but I suppose we could give it a go.

No worries chaps, we've only won one game in which we scored the first goal anyway. This season, that is.

Give it until 65-70 minutes and then we'll be going all out attack.
