He's been brought in for one reason only this season - to play the pass that enables us to score the goal that keeps us up

Many were expecting his move here to be a short one, with him proving his ability and seeking a move to a bigger club if we go down, after hearing of the likes of City and United tracking him last season. This is clearly a clever ploy by Brian and Hammond to make us and the media think he's a flop, and keep him here for next season's promotion campaign where he will boss the league and lead us to another record breaking points total. That or he's just shite.

Carrico does seem to be a disappointment this season. Although his arrival has seen an upturn in Legs' performances and the brief return of Guthrie and the explosion of Akpan. I think his fitness may have been a bigger issue than we thought, I'm not sure I'd have expected him to come back in against Utd, although playing Legs after a late fitness test doesn't say a lot for him. But I expected him to feature more than he has, if only in cameos.

He may come good next season, it's certainly not a write off. But file more under Kebe and Matejovsky as PL signings - no impact soon enough.

He did miss a day or two days training in Dubai, and from the pics on the facebook page his knee was still in strapping. Guessing the knee and general fitness are bigger problems than we initially thought.
