Pessimism is like a contagious disease!
We will win this game. No idea of the score or the scorer(s), but we will win.

I'm going 2-1 to us, think we'll concede a goal in first half but in a once in a life time miracle our brilliant, optimistic, loud crowd, east, west, north and south stands alike, in a rare feat of unity will pick the team up and akpan will get us one along with Alfie. :D

^ Me too.

I did however remember to buy a rugged case for my iPad so I can f*cking launch it through the window when we make N'Zogbia look like Zidane as he waltzes past our full backs to cut back for Benteke to drill home completely unmarked for the second time.

Got a ticket on Viagogogogogogogoogogogogogogogo. Will be bringing the young lad with me. He's 5/5 Reading wins (never seen us lose), he's also pretty confident
we'll beat Villa 55-0 (i've lumped on)

Our record in these crunch six pointers is lamentable so if form and past history is a guide Villa to win 2-0 and stadium expansion plans get shelved for a few years

Pearce heads home the winner in injury time and immediately whips the contract and a pen out of his sock, sprints to the west stand, signs the paperwork and makes it into a paper airplane that soars up and into Antons waiting hand...

We will struggle to break their Defense, i cannot see a win here, and knowing our world class back four along with our tetley sponsored Midfield will fail epic stye again, best 0.0 worst 2.0 Villa

royal67 I think we'll have to keep N'Zogbia quiet, he has played well for Villa in their last couple of games. Weimann carries an obvious threat as the man in the hole behind Benteke. I think that McD will favour a 4-5-1 and try and catch Villa on the counter attack. If so, I think we can nick this, 1-0.
My prefered line-up:

Feds
Kelly
Pearce
Marriappa
Shorey
Kebe (if fit, if not McCleary)
Legs
Akpan
Guthrie
McAnuff
HRK (as the lone front man)

Id play kanu if kebe not fit as mcleary's form has dropped
Id stick with le fondre and hunt up front and rop akpan or guthrie

I don't mind losing but if we lose to a contraversial last minute penalty or because of a red card that never was that changed the game (as it showed in Utd vs Madrid), that is a completley different ball game!

andrew1957 This could either be the start of a run that will secure PL status or realistically the end of PL status. Wigan was not a "must win" game but defeat against Wigan means that this one is. Or else we are going to need a win at either Man U or Arsenal - which with this squad looks unrealistic.

We also need a captain’s performance form Jobi. Come on Jobi prove your doubters wrong and lead us to victory.

I am backing the boys to step up and assuming Kebe and Fed are injured I would play.

Taylor
Kelly
Pearce
Mariappa
Shorey (Don’t think Harte has looked great in the last two)
McCleary
Legs
Guthrie (he was involved during our good run during January)
Akpan
McAnuff
Blackman (probably the best option we have in a 4-5-1)

and bring on ALF and Hunt between 65-70 minutes and go 4-4-2 against a tiring Villa. A tense 2-1 win as ALF scores the winner in the 94th minute.

The crowd erupt in rapture at the final whistle and Brian is carried shoulder high on a sea of blue and white clad fans around the ground.

Wigan was a must not lose, draw would be have been ok, as i thought it would keep us out of the bottom 3, the key is to remain at least a win away form 4th bottom at this stage. If we lose then we'll be 4 adrift and with 2 hard games we could be well adrfit after them. A win will keep us in the mix, a draw isnt ideal now, a defeat would be curtains

we will win 2-1

Villa fans not too optimistic about this, a couple of unfair comments on there about us, I think Villa are equally as poor as us

If we can get our crossing boots on and play a high tempo then we stand a high chance of winning.

Let's hope our 33% is all crossing then.
