RumpoleBarry the bird boggler If it converts one fan to renew when they weren't otherwise going to then it's been a good move.
That's utter bollocks, isn't it?

No offence but Adkins always sounds like a 10 year old trying to sound smart in his interviews. Very simply type of fella

Maguire I got this yesterday and if i'm honest I don't think it really would've registered with me if there wasn't a thread about it. It's just standard marketing stuff, your eyes scan over it, pick out the relevant information (price and deadline) and put it aside.

Albert Spangler I saw on the OS the other day that I could expect a cheerful message from the gaffer in the post. What a freakin' waste of money. What's that clichéd prick going to be able to say to get me to renew when a) I don't want to and 2) I couldn't afford to even if I wanted to?
Get real, Reading FC. Actually, no; get fucked.

Royal Rother Some people just don't get marketing, but that's a strangely bitter response.

winchester_royal I think they get it; they just like to think they're above getting 'sucked in' by it.

Woodcote Royal Frankly, I would have prefered it had everyone at the club just STFU rather than send this condescending sh*t through my letter box. Did you really think that putting my name on the back of an envelope with the word "hello" in front of it would get me reaching for my credit card as I called the ticket office
For the record, I will be renewing the ST I've held for more than a decade when I'm good and ready.
I'm not interested in meaningless platitudes from our new manager. I would, however, have been VERY interested to here from Mr Fat Wallet himself with regard to next season's transfer budget and the criteria he intends to apply come the day he decides that Adkins has outstayed his welcome.
Answers to this type of question would help me decide whether this will be my final campaign as a season ticket holder because, believe me, Sunshine, the jury is still out here
