Is Scott Sinclair really that much better than HRK? Keep believing Hal, you can do it.

RoyalBlue Disagree that this is a non story. Smacks very much of 'clever' work by his brother/agent. Say something knowing it will be/can be claimed that it had been misconstrued, generate the headlines to make clubs aware that you are open to offers and then stick out a tweet saying that you have been misunderstood and are looking to extend your deal with your current employer. Then your agent/brother can use the interested generated from other clubs as a way of upping the stakes in the contractual negotiations.

Funnily enough Hal is currently renegotiating to extend his current deal beyond 2014 so methinks this is indeed all just smoke generated to help him to more favourable terms.

Presumably HRK will turn the move down anyway as he wants to play for a top four side. I'm switching my allegiances to another sport if Cardiff ever become a top four side!

If true 2M is a bit of a derisory offer. He has got to be worth at least 4M to us. I assume it was a first shot across the bows to see if we will sell at any price.

It would give Edwards and Obita a chance to shine though. I just think they are a bit unproven to risk at Championship level.

Cardiff in for him are they?

All going according to plan then. Bet his brother can't believe it - all slotting in nicely to try to re negotiate his contract and when RFC say sod off he can't blame anyone for then leaving

If he wants to go he should slap in a transfer request.

Or his brother planted the story in the first place. All seems far too convenient doesn't it - the two players that have caused the problems and dominated the headlines these last 6 months are the two looked after by the same agent. An agent that seems so desperate to establish himself as a 'big cheese' and make money out of his two assets no matter what...

Cardiff will start the season in the top 4 of the premiership table.

£2 million isn't ridiculous for a Championship player with one more year on his contract. Would rather we kept him but we're fine to take a hit in the wing department.

For 2 million I'll drive him there myself.

That would be a rather strange contract stipulation. Which party would be championing that? Would you get your expenses paid? Do you think he’d have to make the arrangements with you himself?

This has thrown up so many questions.

This really pisses me off - firstly, if it's true he wants to leave and play in premier league - thanks a bloody bunch Hal - as soon as we get relegated you want away, despite having come up via the academy and the club investing a lot of time and effort into making you the player you think you are now. :x I HATE it that players these days just think about the money and don't have any loyalty to the club that made their name. He should sign his contract and prove himself HERE next season then he'll be back in the PL soon enough.

And that goes for the rest of you players who read this board and think you're billy big bollox and want out. :x

LOL

It's a job.

Did you stay 'loyal' to your first employer?

Yes- until I left to have my children....

Anyway, in days gone by, players were loyal to clubs - it's the Sky money etc which has ruined it now - time was Reading players lived in Reading and the surrounding areas and they WANTED to play for Reading - heck some were even born in Reading - these days you nurture them in academies and at the first sign of defeat or first sniff of better money they're off. :x
