Congrats to those in Y25 -26. The away fans were rattled.

Erm, not they weren't, they were offering out the Reading boys, all of whom melted into the sunset five minutes before the end of the game..

Aye, and have they managed quite such a reaction from any other team this season or last? No they haven't. They got them properly foaming at the mouth.

You know in World War Z when they all pile up the wall? That on a pathetically small scale.

Plus lots of throat cutting gestures etc.

No, I meant what were the RFC fans doing to goad such behaviour?

I hasten to add that I was sat in the north, so saw it all from a distance, but the boys up that end were making a lot of noise, sustained it and varied it. That section of the field was like away support at home.

I keep hearing "oh they have not quite clicked yet" but this is it..this is what you will get from an adkins side..ponderous careful sit on lead football and we got what we deserved when we should have gone for the second and third goal and finished them off. OK we will be hard to beat away from home like this but it is oh so dull dull dull.

it will not get us in the top two and a team not prepared to go for it has no chance in the play offs

but we have deeper problems...no Anton again

But it was good to see one Russian turn up...unbelievable the stick for Pog who got no service whatsoever (he never will in an adkins side) and kept on running and holding it up well

There was plenty of Millwall baiting, bemused lolling at their knuckledragging out of control reactions and then the usual bus exodus. I can assure you there was absolutely no fear of Millwall in Y26.

Poor showing from them. Last time one of their fans got across the pathway between the stands and actually tried to climb the wall to get at Y26. Bizarrely leaving his crying son at the side of the pitch needing to be comforted by a steward.

And funnily enough, for all their hardman posturing, they were like church mice on the train back to London and tube. At least the ones I saw were.

Agreed. It's not that we weren't trying to get a 2nd/3rd we just weren't good enough. If anything we weren't patient/sit back enough with all the long balls.

Yep, and if you look at how his teams have always played it's never been a case of them settling for 1-0 wins and sitting deep.

We just weren't good enough in a number of areas, and if anything Nige should have put an extra body in midfield instead of sticking with 2 up front.

Saying that, we still had enough chances in the second half to put the game out of sight.

And after the break, only the post stopped Adam Le Fondre from scoring his 150th goal for the club.

I must've missed a few of those. Super sub.

Muskrat Poor. Played off the park by a side who were 18th before the game and Shittu was the best player on the park!!! He was everywhere today and unjustly had a goal chalked off as well, no wonder he went ballistic at the lino.

If McDermott had put out a team that performed like that he would have been slated but I suppose this will go down as all part of the "evolution" by the Adkins lovers

Alf was off his game today but tbf he was once again feeding off scraps by having to try and win long balls pumped up to him. What has happened to playing through the thirds of the pitch then Nige???

We are not a top six side and anyone that thinks that the return of Royston and Williams will sort out is deluded. For one thing neither would get into the starting 11 now anyway, with Baird playing the holding midfield role and better options on the wing.

And Y26 were just cringeworthy today. Funny how it empied out 5 minutes before the end of the game... :D

blimey, talk about over reaction its amazing how people forget that the royals completely outplayed millwall in the first half. I think royals will finish top 6/ yes royals were bad 2nd half although had alf's shot gone in it would have been a different story - if he did that 1000 times, 999 would have gone in

It's not as if they are not trying to get the 2nd or 3rd goal ffs. Lot more to come from this side and can only get better whilst they adjust to this better brand of football. This football is far more entertaining than the dross we had to endure last season.

The most entertaining thing today was Danny Shittu. Hilarious how fat he is.
