dean horrix legend Loads on here that I witnessed, one that hasn't been mentioned is

Reading 0 Southampton 0, League cup 4th round, I remember we battered them for most of the game but Terry Gennoe had a blinder in their goal. Just over 24000 crammed into Elm Park that night, atmosphere was electric.

And record gate receipts of just over £25,000. Biggest crowd I ever saw at Elm Park.

Norfolk Royal

Avon Royal Peterborough 1 - 2 Reading

2 late Henderson goals to turn the game on its head. Home captain red carded, home fans going mental, Salako bombing up the line to Pards after the winner, massive terrace surge.

Lovely stuff.

This.

That was a cracker yes.

Photographic evidence. Brilliant. I was one of the kids down the front of the South Bank. My jaw was on the floor when this happened.

Zana Badawi
RoyallyFcuked For me, there's a few but it was probably the 4-3 away win at Forest in 2010/11, amazing topsy turvy game of football that we deservedly won in the last minute. We were on a great run at the time and there was an overwhelming feeling we were going up, even though it didnt end that away.

By far the most entertaining game I've been to. A real 'You had to be there' game.

I also remember a game at Ashton Gate, not sure of the season, but was memorable for two reasons
1) There were 5 goals in the first 15 minutes
2) We took what seemed like a HUGE following.
Cant remember if it ended 3-2 or 3-3, though. Think it was the latter.

Definitely 3-3. Here's more info http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/1898912.stm

On the subject of away draws, I recall a fun-packed last few minutes at Gillingham around Christmas one year. 1-0 until the dying minutes. We equalised and started singing "you're not singing anymore". They went down the other end and scored almost immediately and their fans were then singing it to us. Then we equalised (Mark Nicholls with a stunning curler from just outside the box) and we sang it back to them again.

All the usual suspects in here, and I think I went to pretty much all of them pre-'98.....

One appears to missing, the record breaking away game at Newport?

EDIT: Just done a Google search and found this Grauniad blog from a year ago: http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/oct/14/forgotten-story-reading-1985-86-season

WIgan play-off 2nd leg goes without saying but surprised no-one has mentioned Reading 4 Oxford 3 from October 2000 - local rivals, pissing rain, a Whitehead howler that ended up on QoS' What happened next?, two (yes two) Rougier goals to bring us back from 2-3 down to win; incredible entertainment.

Probably Brentford 1 -1 Reading when Cureton scored to get promotion. Not the best game but still......and this was before most of the plastics supported.
