In the spirit of the game the ref should also let a team substitute an injured player if they're ready to do so without delaying the restart of the game.

We should've defended it better but the ref made a pretty substantial error to contribute to the whole situation.

Still a great strike from Johnson. Thought he was their best player.

Brilliant game, most enjoyable game I've been to so far this season and before the game I'd of had no complaints if we lost, as soon as we scored the first we were in the ascendency.

Every single outfield player was so quick to close the opposition down, even just throwing a boot in just to make a challenge to slow them down, the grit seems to have finally come back. The counter attacks were fast and free flowing, genuinely looking like we had full intention of going for goal every time we broke forward.

The style just felt completely different, which I know probably isn't true as its only Clarke's 3rd game in charge, but I felt the team were so much more organised and determined to get up the pitch than they ever were under Adkins.. I was never one of the people to call for 'Adkins out' as I still think he's a good manager but just wasn't a good fit for the club, however I had no complaints when he left.

Beginning to think Clarke is definitely the right man for the job of whipping these lads back into shape.

Jerry St Clair Football fans are so one-eyed at times.

The blatant, unsporting behaviour by Clarke and McCleary is ok, but a genuine mistake by a referee is unforgivable? Reading brought it upon themselves by manufacturing a stoppage and then failed to defend once the play restarted. Frankly they deserved what they got.

Agreed, I felt that we only had ourselves to blame for this situation.

Yesteray was by far and away better than anything even I have seen from us this season. I enjoyed how we controlled the game second half, making sure that the breaks we got inside their box in the first half were capitalised on with a performance which stuck to the basics and we eliminated the infuriating and costly tendency to gift the opposition a goal. It was good, no-nonsense stuff. That said, Hector's positioning and timing still concerns me, perhaps he would be best employed in a central midfield 3? Liking the look of a midfield which has Williams and Norwood at its core.

Hoping that the Thais deliver and bring in 1 or 2 players in order to facilitate the loaning out of the likes of Kuhl and Cooper so that they can get valuable experience elsewhere.

I am concerned by the likely loss of Murray. He leads the line in a way in which the moderate Simon Cox is frankly unable to.

Additional: I wouldn't expect/want the players to behave as supporters, but having sat adjacent to the non-playing squad members yesterday afternoon it was noticeable how disinterested they were when the goals went in, not a flicker of applause or appreciation from the likes of the Pog.

Noticed similar, looks like we were sat near each other.

On the flip-side, enjoyed a bit of local passion from Simon Cox who spent almost his entire walk off when he was subbed gobbing off at the officials about the Norwich goal.

We didn't, it was down to the ref. the fact the same ref forgot his cards the last time he officiated us shows that he makes these sort of incompetent mistakes on a regular basis.

Wasn't there, but that's the LOL of the season at Neil Adams for stating his team shouldn't have been losing to a team like Reading, then a few weeks later we play them off the park and spank them again! He must be feeling quite a kunt this weekend.

TBM Pretty poor that it's taken this long for us to do the double over a team, this season.

It was the ref. He was at fault. He signaled for a substitution then forgot about it, leaving us with 10 men. The end.

Can only echo what's been said - thoroughly enjoyable match with a performance under new management which has given hope and belief that things will improve in 2015.

New stat which I think the Norwich game was a fine example of -

Who Scored Oliver Norwood Has made more tackles + interceptions (124) than any other player in the Championship this season

Leads the charts on tackles per game with 3.9, not in the top 10 for interceptions however but cant be far off as 10th is 2.8 per game and he is on 2.7.

But still, fantastic stats for our little midfielder.

Poor decision by the ref. He should've at least let us make the one substitution he originally stopped the game for

Thought it was a really solid performance. Good to see lessons learnt from Brighton game in terms of holding a lead. Norwood was my MOTM..dont think he out a foot wrong all game.

Nice to see Eamo in the dug out. Hopefully a sign of him taking a bigger role.

To be honest that doesn't clarify things much, no idea what the referee was trying to signal with that combination of gestures.
Those who think it was the fault of McLeary / Clarke/ SJM /Adkins could at least offer some reason why. Certainly an injured player asking for a trainer to come on the pitch isn't unsporting. If you want unsporting have a word with Cameron Jerome

You're right, it's missing 15 seconds where the ref stops play for the sub. Without that the video is useless. Great work RFC media team once again...
