P!ssed Off
Ian Royal Although 10 shots 9 misses 1 goal >> 1 shot 1 goal. And Murray's record was hardly 10 shots 10 misses.

Remember that time when Murray scored the winning goal in that tight and scrappy game?

no, me neither...

Onwards and upwards!

Yes it's entirely Murray's fault that we let in goals against Brighton, Birmingham & Blackburn to undermine or negate his goals in those games. And if only the defence had been worse against Fulham or Blackpool so you could see some sort of benefit from him scoring in those games.

Murray due to start for Palace against Dover. Doesn't look good for a return.

Not really but then AP was always going to have a look at the player so it's hardly a surprise.

Do we honestly believe we have around £1.5m available to spend on him? I don't. Guess we'll know soon enough when it doesn't get spent elsewhere.

According to Hammond we do http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30379729

Depends how much Adkins' payout was I would assume.

I think we should all know by now not to believe everything the club tell us though. A lot of it is positive soundbites, or certainly has been. I guess we'll know soon enough, as Clarke will want to add to the squad. I fully expect the usual 'right players not being available' line, which we've already been fed in preparation. That said, a couple of loans would do me. Next summer though we are in for a lot of changes, it'll be very interesting what happens here.

3points Murray taken off at HT as a precautionary measure

Quote from Sporting Life report:-

Palace striker Murray is currently down on the turf after taking a knock to his knee, which will be of concern to Eagles fans given his past history with problems to that area, although I think he will be OK...

End quote

That may change our attitude to wanting him.

@MR_LWMedia: Most will be online in the next few days, but I can say that Glenn Murray not looking for a move away from #cpfc.

Anyone who saw him during his loan could have told us that.

Would much rather we used the money we'd have to spend on him to get someone in who actually wants to be here.

No. He's made his contribution and I am sure we would all like to thank him for his 8 goals.

Save the money. Use what we have. Invest in the summer. Consider another loan signing if necessary.

If he scored 20 goals then whether he 'wants' to be here or not is not that important. Probably a large proportion of professional players are playing for clubs they aren't massively attached to or especially excited at playing for but they work hard and do their jobs.
Realistically though I would expect a return for Murray would involve him telling Pardew he wants to join us, and if he doesn't do that the deal won't happen.
We'll find someone else.....

No one is disputing the professionalism of Glenn Murray during his time at Reading but doing a professional job whilst on loan somewhere and wanting to earn a contract at the club you're on loan at is slightly different.
