Sutekh Of course nothing to do with the fact the club have no strikers of any real note plus the fact that owing to the total ineptitude at other clubs has been realistically been safe from relegation since February and, no doubt, the players have been cruising on the fact there is nothing to really play for in the league.

Additionally SC has been experimenting to some degree with formations and personnel to find out as much as possible about the players technical and mental attributes.

On top of that SC has said the squad is not good enough and that there will need to be considerable changes in the summer.

Better a dreadful home run when it really doesn't matter than running into when when it does matter such as last year or Coppell's last 6 months in charge.

Your asertions are not supported by the facts.

Under NA, league record was P21 W7 D4 L10 F26 A39 GD-13 Pts25 W%33% PPG1.19 Leag posn 16th
Under SC, league record is P23 W5 D7 L11 F18 A31 GD-13 Pts22 W%22% PPG0.96 Leag posn 19th

SC has used 10 players that didn't feature under NA, incl 3 loanees and 2 permanent signings by SC. So he was able to sign nearly half a team in the one window he has had to date. The fact that his permanent signings were pants doesn't auger too well for next season. Were Yakubu and Knight really any better than Samuel and Cooper - especially given the time they actually spent on the pitch and the wages they commanded? The question is rhetorical - they clearly were not.

NA had a horrendous injury list to contend with and was forced to experiment with formations and personnel because of that.

At best, SC is no better than NA, and on stats alone he is manifestly worse. NA worked under exactly the same financial constraints as SC and I don't recall him slating the squad in the same way as SC is currently doing. Indeed, SC is worryingly similar to Bodgers in that the performances are never his fault, it;s because "the squad isn't good enough", or "not intelligent enough to play to his strategies". SC and Bodgers are supposed to be coaches! It would seem to me that neither have the abilty to "coach" players and help them develop into better players to suit the "systems" they demand of their players. Instead, bith just bleat on about how they need finances to "improve" the squad. Judging by results, it would appear that neither manager is any way motivational either.

We can only hope that SC spends the summer actually earning his salary for a change. If we get another season of him bleating about how the team "deserved more" out of games, or were "unlucky", or needs more " clear outs", then he's for the chop - and frankly, good riddance.

That's just blatantly made up, that was not his "brief"

As unrealistic as it was, he was talking about the playoffs and how good the squad was. He then proceeds to spend what little money we have on shit loans and short term players.

Tbf I think those calling for his head are just being a little emotional and upset that the man they backed to revolutionise RFC failed to do anything of note.

He's hardly going to come in when he knows he has no cash & say to the fans "Yeah this current crop are pretty sh1t"

What else is he supposed to say? Talk of play offs was always crazy & stupid. The Top 6 had already broken away & amassed about 45 points at that stage IIRC. They only needed about 10 wins from the 2nd half of the season to get play offs. The damage was already done.
