You'd think the Radio Berks boys would want to see a bit more than 45 minutes before they decide that nothing's changed from last season.

I mean I'm no big fan of Clarke, but this writing off our ability to score so soon and with such a makeshift attack is just bonkers. It may well be right... but any chance we could wait three or four games to make a mildly informed opinion before complaining about it again.

Dave-Royal
Ian Royal Gooding and Dellor summary of the starting debutants

Bond - good, no chance with the goal
McShane - good and will get goals at set pieces
Tshibola - ok
Quinn - good
Sa - good but more a link up striker than a goalscorer
your no 1 reading fan

Cheers Dave.

Maybe we could wait until our attacking players are fit before we start crying

We don't want to win anyway. We've never gained promotion from the Championship having won our opening game.

Conceding goals either side of Half time is a big old whoopsie. Concentration chaps.

Well at least it's a bit of an improvement on the shambolic score up there last season so we're moving in the right direction.

After the summer though I would have expected some improvement as an attacking threat but we're still in the same boat of bugger all creativity and even less shots on target.

Perhaps this Hurtado and Alex will help out on that front but I won't hold my breath. Desperately, desperately need an out and out goalscorer

I'm expecting us to be fairly dross for Aug/Sep. It's the Reading way isn't it?

From what i've read about Sa he is an out and out striker. Criticisms of him were that he doesn't have much else about his game.

Having a wide player would be a good place to start.
