An improvement on the Leeds game. (Not hard, I'll agree.)

For me we look like we have a promising group of players at the moment.

What seems to be missing is a more urgent, faster-paced, pressing, passing game.

(Much like Warburton had going at Brentford over the last couple of seasons and seems to be replicating at Rangers if accounts are to be believed.)

We look too pedestrian in build-up, too slow-paced, which simply telegraphs our intentions to any side with a bit of reactionary nous.

I like the way the defence and midfield has become more solid and reliable.

But I think it's urgency in attack that now needs to be added.

(Some of what I watched on Saturday reminded me of the shite that Adkins had us playing but with a better defence.)

So for me, more movement on and off the ball so you've got the opposition twisting and turning not knowing quite what you are going to do next, and at a far higher tempo. Shouldn't be difficult, should it?

Don't usually quote self but for the first time in many months the team put in on the pitch against Ipswich exactly what I had thought was perhaps missing for some time.

Glorious to see it back. Made up for the players and the fans.
