This is supposed to be a prediction league, not a massage snowball's ego league ffs.

Points for formatting your prediction? What a crock of shit. So someone who gets it completely wrong every week would finish on 46 points, whilst someone who gets the right full time score and result 15 times but not in your prissy format would end on 45!?

oxf*rd off.

For God sake Ian you are the worst poster on this board stop being a precious little snowflake and grow the oxf*rd up. It's a little joke thing I decided that you keep crying about because somebody has thankfully been kind enough to take it over. If you don't like the rules don't play. Infact I'm banning you from playing it's my game I made and my rules. You are banned from now. Snowball please expunge Ian royal from the table

Don't worry dd, I'm just going to do it properly myself - without any bullshit, complaining about predictions or format, and run the same scoring system from the start.

League only
1 point for a result
3 points for correct score
1 point for an RFC scorer
2 points for all RFC scorers

Simple. Consistent. Reliable.

It won't be better then snowballs one he is a better league creater then you Ian royal. How stupid is that 2 points for all reading scorers surely a correct score and result and scorers is worth more then 2 points plus 1 piont plus points that makes 5 points

Right, I'm offering a simple alternative prediction league. There'll be no complaining from me about how you format your predictions, no arbitrary points awarded to try to make people do things my way because I'm not an egomaniac, and the rules are the same from game 1 to 46. League only.

1 point for a correct result
3 points for a correct result and scoreline

Correctly naming goalscorers will get separate points that will act as GD like tiebreakers. (We don't score much and no one has got more than 2 in 13 games anyway, so trying to add in normal points is a waste of time).

None of this half time bollox or FGS bollox either.

And just to bribe you all into supporting me with this version, I'll donate £50 to the charity of choice of the person with the most points at the end of the season. And £20 to the charity of choice of the person who gets the best points per prediction ratio, minimum 10 predictions. Plus £5 to the charity of choice for the person with the worst points per prediction, minimum 10 predictions.

Full table in the general prediction league thread. Results for Middlesbrough below. If I've got anything wrong I apologise, let me know and I'll work on fixing it.

In his defence snowball's is overly complicated and seemingly inconsistent.

The reason I added a point for “absolute clarity” is because different people post “the same result” in different, often contradictory ways.

By offering a standard format (and a point for using it) those who have the common decency to do so get a small “tick” and those who wish to be grade A ay-holes, get a little X.

Snowflake, is, of course, an idiot and is making himself look ridiculous.

As for someone gaining 46 points for 46 properly-formatted incorrect predictions, so what? Everyone else who also posts the standard format but gets some predictions right, will beat him.

Incidentally, in the predictions league over in competitions, there is a fixed format that HAS to be followed.

The competitions thread hasn't coopted a longstanding TB thread and tried to dictate to everyone on it. And of course it would be far more valid to ignore non formated predictions because for some reason you struggle with them, rather than completely skew the results of any one who doesn't want to fan your god complex.

You asked twice if I wanted to take over. I do. Don't ask if you don't want a positive response.

Everyone is of course welcome to ignore me. I'm sure plenty have experience of doing so.
