SCIAG Obita, Blackett and Gunter are all good enough to play at this level still. I think Richards is probably our best option at left back, but only just. Shows what dire straits we must be in financially.

Well yeah. Over 200% of income in wages.

Gunter had to be on around £20k a week given he was a long term fixture at the club having been signed when we wanted to be PL and last contract renewal when we had promotion aspirations.

You can't pay that for a back up RB, it's insane. And Yiadom is clearly better.

Obita likely to be on less, but still a wedge and I think you're being generous saying he's good enough for this level still.

Blackett's ok but not a lot more - great on his day, also awful on an off day, but he wanted away didn't he, so moot point.

Don't think there's any serious merit in an argument that any of them should have been offered a big enough contract to get them to stay.

Obita has looked very solid since he came back from injury. Don't think there's any reason to think he isn't up to it. But we probably can't justify his wages. Agree that we shouldn't be offering him more money and a wage cut would probably have been insulting for a player in his prime, but there are probably other clubs in this division where he'd be a regular starter.

He has looked solid at fullback. He did get outjumped for the Boro winner but otherwise he has looked fine. He is certainly more solid than Richards who still gets beaten too easily too often. Left back is a problem and needs to addressed.

If Osho stays we look fine at right back.

I thought so until lockdown. But he's looked very past it in recent weeks to me, so can't agree.

If he's in the CHampionship next season I think it'll be for one of the cluster of bottom sides like Luton, Barnsley, Wycombe or Rotherham
