genome Ummm

Aren't people overreacting to this? He's going to be in charge for probably about two weeks

If he gets 3 wins on the spin he'll probably get it full time tbh. He's going to be very cheap isn't he? Ideal for the owner.

Hope he can pull some strings to get old Inter team mates Roberto Carlos and Javier Zanetti to come in as coaches

Media will have a field day with Ince and Rooney slogging it out for survival.

A change had to happen and a different voice in the dressing room may have the required impact-nothing is guaranteed when there is a managerial change(see WBA) but often there is the new manager bounce which would be useful with those tricky fixtures coming up in March.

Snowflake Royal We're ecstatic. Seems to be you apologists who aren't happy.

I have wanted him out well before you Ian but he has been shabbily treated over the past few weeks. The club should have fired him weeks ago when he clearly knew himself that it was all over. To have to travel today having already been sacked is dismal.

Our board of Directors and owners are nowhere to be seen and happily let him take all the flak and blame. They should be getting a lot more criticism for the mess we are in. It goes a lot deeper than Pauno.

Could not give a shit.

I only argued against sacking him because I thought any mid season appointment would be just as bad. Not because I thought he was any good.

I couldn’t give a shit that you couldn’t give a shit. The point I’m making is that our hierarchy have failed in all of this by not acting far more quickly. All the flak has been aimed at Pauno whilst the owners and board have gotten away very lightly.

Me too Zip…Pauno has fronted up a lot of failings.

Their (the ownership/directorships) silence has all but murdered this season…but for the good and great, one day we’ll bounce back.

Got to agree really. He had to go in footballing terms but on a personal level, he's been treated awfully shabbily. There's no real justification for it.

Yep. He has fronted the entire shitshow and been answerable for stuff that he was not remotely responsible for.

Indeed….the ‘hatred’ here has been embarrassing, tedious and a boring read

Which is exactly why I felt sorry for him during his time here, he always seemed up against it this season. At least my comment should make more sense now to those who ridiculed it.

You don't go to games. You just aren't a fan and have zero say in the matter.

I don't think he ever got the support from above. When we won 8 on the spin I think the owners thought he could run this shitshow by himself and he was doing way more than running the team. The guy needed a DOF badly. It seems to me he had other responsibilities as well as worrying about the team.
Had he not had that start it may have been different.
I don't think things will change.

You say that like I haven’t been criticising our owners far longer than you.
