WestYorksRoyal If next season starts well, I can see the average attendance reaching the 17k mark. Good for the team and also good financially. 3k extra tickets must be about £50k more revenue a game, so c. £1m a season which is significant in L1.
Fixture list will have an impact; midweek attendances are always lower, so hopefully we can have plenty of Saturday home games and away games rearranged for international breaks.
Last time we were in L1 promotion pushes we averaged 14.1k and 12.6 attendances.
It's impressive that even at a nadir of the last 25 years, with a hated owner and a club in serious danger of ceasing to exist and 10 years of almost exclusively failure on the pitch, we've still got one of our highest tier 3 average attendances.
I agree we can expect a solid 3-4k increase next season with a good start.
