Presuming Pereira has been injured in training as, apparently, CBC has been recalled from international duty.

- Pereira likely out for weeks with twisted ankle
- Knibbs set for return
- Bindon available

Shame for Pereira and for us as he's been looking good. Hopefully he doesn't miss many games. Hope CBC plays instead of Button as well. In fact I'd play Bouzanis or Andresson over Button given the choice.

LUX No way is twisted ankle “ weeks” out.

Depends how bad it is. If its a nasty sprain then it'll take a while for swelling and bruising to go, then needs physio to strengthen.

Mine wasn't too bad and I didn't get the sort of intensive professional treatment a footballer gets but it was 5/6 weeks. I'd still expect 2/ 3 mininum.

Twisted ankles can be difficult, depends how badly it was twisted and what "in training" really means. If he just went over it on the pitch then it shouldn't be too bad but if he was carrying some training gear down some steps when it happened it could be very serious.

"A twisted ankle" hides a multitude of sins; it could indicate damaged ligaments, or even a dislocation. Could well be weeks.

Could be a few weeks before any swelling has gone down and it could be fully assessed

Starting to sound career threatening.
What if gangrene sets in, or he trips on his crutches and breaks his neck ?
Any ideas who we will sign to replace him ?

I think I'd rather go in goal myself rather than Bouzanis.....is he still here? Assumed he'd gone on loan somewhere

Bouzanis is on loan at Stevenage and has been on the bench for them. Andresson is at an Icelandic second division club on loan.

It was obvious that Pereira was injured and out for a while from the second CBC was withdrawn from the International squad.

This is probably at the better end of what it could have been.

Ruben Selles on Jeriel Dorsett's injury: "It looks uncomfortable. It looks like he will be out for some period of time."

I hope he has a quick and full recovery, but I think he should have been dropped anyway, hopefully this forces a positive change and he comes back stronger

Yes, could do with Abrefa fresh air in that position.

That's a real kick in the teeth, Yids must be close to getting put out to pasture!! almost time to move on and give Abrefa a chance to shine in his natural position......however, i suspect he's going to have to fill the LB void until Dorsett is back to full fitness.

How long is Carson out for again?
