I don’t know about the Hammers, but they said on the radio last night that our average age was 22.

Our starting XI averaged 21.4 (20.3 without Harlee Dean) with a median of 21.3 (21.1 without Dean). The side we started the second half with was 20.8 (19.5 minus Dean) with a median of 20.7 (19.9 minus Dean).

West Ham's starting XI averaged 19.3 with a median of 18.7.

The squads (ie. including bench) made little impact to either side's average.

I used decimal age to have a more accurate average - so Charlie Savage is 21.3 years old, as opposed to 21 years old. I guessed Garcia to be 16.5 (as we don't have a date of birth for him) and took a few of our player DoBs from the Football Manager database, so many not be 100% accurate (Osho is 17.4 based on the FM database, but I think we've been told he's 16).

Essentially our team was older by about a year or two, albeit Garcia, Sackey and Osho are all younger than the youngest starting West Ham player and West Ham had the oldest player, aside Dean, who got on the pitch (Luizao at 22.5); Rushesha (22.1) was the next oldest.
