Stranded The only guarantee is that is the beginning of the end of the Noel Hunt/Reading relationship - he will leave the club once his stint as manager is done and likely never return.

It was the only sensible option and Hunt appears to have all the attributes to succeed - the only question is if he can bring the success he has had at Academy level to the first team.

That's a rathe nihilistic view for a perennial optimist. You ok?

Yep all good. Just a fact - the optimistic view is it happens because he has a massive success (which I think he can be) and moves on to bigger and better things.

Bigger and better things like Hull? Perhaps a swap deal when Selles fails there and Hunt succeeds here

When you look at it, no wins obviously but lost at Coventry in the 98th min and denied a win last night in the 97th min.
On another day it could be W1 D5 L1.
And the loss was pretty much a dead rubber with the disastrous CBC in goal.

Agreed. As I said somewhere, Burnley won the league that season; Luton and Coventry were the play-off finalists. Huddersfield saw us make changes we would never have made had the game meant something. Of the two games this season, Wycombe are currently top of the league; Walsall was effectively our U21s in the cup game.

The only proper disappointment was Wigan - and the stats showed we dominated that game.

And the Luton game featured that Andy Carroll incident which Reading may well have won had he scored legally.

Much like when Millsy was making absolutely ludicrous statements about Selles' performance by including friendly results, I don’t think there is any value or point in including Noel's results in the Championship after taking over from Ince almost 2 years ago, with a completely different squad.

Or EFL Trophy games we clearly don't really care about.

Think you mean Preston.

Coventry was a Joao stunner then they literally scored without us touching the ball again. 50th minute or so.

Anyway, I'll take hard to beat for a few weeks while Hunt gets his teeth into things.
