I might take screen shots of those last two posts and hang them framed on my wall.

I feel so proud.

You agree with Evening Post? But he's been saying they'll out sing us and we don't have a chance.

I have no doubt that Man U's away following is far louder than at Old Trafford, but why didn't this fabled support make the trip to Elm Park in 96?

The south bank was resplendant in its wit that day, and we were the only fans to ever get that kind of response out of Cantona...unless you count that quiet night at Selhurst Park that is!

Man U may have a good away support, but they will never match Cardiff or Man City in full voice.

Half Horse Well, we're not paticularly rich but we are relatively successfull and I don't feel the need to shout my mouth off on another club's board because I'm a closet Man U fan.

I guess you're another of those 99% of Man U supporters who have never seen their team play. And even if you're not you're simply a piece of shit for supporting them in the first place. Glory hunting oxf*rd!

Simpleton.

Hey Man U scum. If I give you my address would you like to pop round and say that to my face?

Point proved.

Cheers.

The quality of debate on HNA just goes from strength to strength :D

FiNeRaIn They have good away fans. I expect half the ground to watch on in admiration at them in full voice.

Late into the debate as usual, but now I've heard it all! Since when did ANY home support of ANY team "watch in admiration" the "performance" of the away fans?! Why the fcuk would I or any sane person want to stand and "admire" them when there's a game going on in front of me? I am looking forward to the atmosphere that will undoubtedly be generated on Saturday, but taking time out to give kudos to the away fan? No fcuking way.

Typical of the self-delusional attitude of closet (and not-so-closet) "big" team supporters. Scuse me if I don't take notes at the game, I'll be busy voicing my support of my team.

Admiration? Time for a reality check, I think...

boycey it's not that the utd support is that great , they just seem to be more grown up..... they will just be lads out for the football and beer . the way it should be.

So that is the definition of grown up is it?

Christ on a bike, having just read this thread through I get the impression that the "Little Reading" mentality is alive and well.

I hope that the players don't share the views of a lot of those who've contributed to this thread so far or we needn't bother turning up.

Honestly, reading all the talk of how we're going to get stuffed, you'd think that our players are lucky to be allowed on the same pitch as them.

We have earned the right the play in this league and we shouldn't go into any game in awe of the opposition (or their fans - can't believe I've had to write that!!). If some part time Mancs want to go all starry eyed and moist in the loins then that's up to them. There wasn't too much on display last Saturday to worry about, granted the loss will have strengthened their resolve though.

The true Royals should get behind the boys and let the whole Premiership know that we've arrived but, as has already been said, please don't boo Ronaldo. Not because he isn't a dirty diving cheating scummer but because he seems to enjoy it and he'll turn it on to rub it back in our face.

Rant over - back to work

Im not a closet prem supporter, im reading through and through. Unlike most reading fans, i can appreciate good passionate support which united have.
More than anyone I would love to beat them and I will sing my heart out, I just don't think we will, most teams in the WORLD would loose to them. Im also waiting for the plastics to boo ronaldo. When he scores he will run over and give us the big one, I don't expect to see any reading fans whinging and calling for him to be booked, after we have wound him up all game.

Man U may have the best fans but the best fans are liverpools and newcastles they are always the loudest. The man u fans will be even quieter than the sheff utd fans were on saturday
