No, with our record with them it is a good bet. I will be sticking a tenner on Pompey to win then as they are over 2's

I think the last two home league matches that I missed ended in Reading winning 5-1, so I will go for that scoreline - Lita with a hatrick to inspire my fantasy team.

I am surprised that no-one has mentioned the glory days of '97/98!

One of the few highlights of that relegation season were the win at (then) Premiership Leeds in the league cup, tearing eventual runaway league winners Sunderland apart 4-0 at Elm Park (Asaba scoring twice - probably his best game for us), a 2-0 win at Swindon, and ....

after me never even seeing us score a single goal against them, we beat Pompey 2-0 away.

I'm thinking we are due a repeat performance.

I feel our boys will be smarting after a few defeats on the spin, and pompey are missing some key players.

I'll go for a 3-0 Royals win!

G'ARN UURRZZ!

Reading 3 v 1 Portsmouth

Four players will be booked. We will be match three on Football First. Portsmouth will have one shot that hits the Reading crossbar. Five substitutions will be made. The winning number in the half time Golden Gamble will be 2671. You will have to stand up 17 times during the match cos the twat in front of you keeps standing up even when its not vaguely exciting. Hansen and Lawrenson will say how suprised they are at how well Reading have done this season on MOTD.

Matchday!

At last. Doesn't it seem like absolutely oxf*rd ages since we last played. Another 'break' next weekend.

Anyway, we're going to edge a five goal thriller. Linvoy to score our winning goal.

Reading_Royal He was denied entry when we last played them at the Mad Stad, was funny everyone moaning about it back in Portsmouth! Looks like a thug but he actually works in his dad's bookshop in Petersfield.

Big Ern This one has 0 - 0 written all over it.

Can't see it somehow, the nil nil at Watford was in my opinion a hang over from Newcastle and I cant see both teams keeping a clean sheet on this occasion.

With that said I'm going for 1:1

Big Ern, I salute you sir and bow down before you.

From Despair To Where? I have never seen us beat Portsmouth and they are usually shite games......

We've never had a better chance to beat them. My heart says 2-1 Reading but my head says a 0-0 yawnfest.

More or less spot on, I'd say :D :D :D :D :D
