1960 I hear that there is a promising young player at Colchester, name of Halford. Can play defence or midfield. I reckon we could sign him if we were wiling to pay out our record fee.

brendywendyHuntley & Palmer Well we won't be able to tempt anyone away from their current Premiership club, apart from those kicking around in the reserves. We don't have the kudos nor the wages to allow it.
Our best bet is someone who misses out at Championship level. I am dearly hoping that Chris Brunt could be tempted from what I have seen of him, has the ability to play anywhere across the midfield. Or Gera at WBA if they don't make it
no, surely the best idea would be to raid the relegated prem clubs

Coppell's Right Footed 11 James Harper to play a more attacking role??? you must be kidding yourselves surely? Harper can't slice open a cake let alone a defence and his shooting is atrocious.

Coppell's Right Footed 11 People mention Giles Barnes, though i thought he was a striker for Derby and not a central midfielder??
Coppell's Right Footed 11 Chaplow doesnt play for West Brom, then again a cheap buy for Coppell to turn around could be useful. Then obviously Gera & Koumas.

RG30 Quite funny seeing the name Giles Barnes touted around on these boards but if only Reading Football Club had a good scouting network up and running 10 years ago, then we wouldn't be having this conversation.
Gilo use to go to school in Reading and was in my class, had unbelivable ability even at such an early age and moved to Nottingham when he was 11, although I think he was initially with Forest before going to Derby.

Smoking Kills Dancing Doe I doubt it would happen but reading the interviews with Gavin Mahon in the press today did get me thinking that he's a bit of a Coppell wet dream, fought his way back up from non league, played for Brentford, he'd be cheap and always gives his all.

Handsome Man Harper will replace Sidwell brilliantly.
He will shine next year.
In my fantasies I would love to see somebody like Song join us, and maybe even Reo-Coker, but I think it will be a mix of Gunnarson and Halford.
I do think Flamini is completely shit though.
