Stooper I just saw the celebrations in the papers and assumed it was the same day.

Sure, the people were on the pitch and the players were in the balcony of the upper west. Did you see the trophy there?

Stooper During the time I couldn't attend football, I caught a lot of Rugby League on Sky sports and saw a sport that was very entertaining. Quick, skillful and players who made so much effort (running with a broken nose/arm til they score) and I found it much more of a sport. No silly money, affordable, and a lot more entertaining.

Fair play. I agree with your comments about the expensive and pretentious nature of Premier League football, nobody would really take issue with that. Incidentally, how much do you pay to watch Rugby League at The Stoop?

My season ticket cost me £140. That's 13 home games, entry to the Members Bar, a car park space, 10% discount on everything in the club shop and 50% off at all times in the Sports Cafe, Haymarket.

How's that for value? :D

Have to say, the masterclass handed out to us by Terry Henry and his gang. However, I think it done us more good than anything else, and is one of the many reasons why we are in the position we are now.

The game when we murdered Forest - inspired by Kevin Watson.

It was one of Pardew's last home games. Lovely summer afternoon, stands just about full and blue and white everywhere - and the first signs that something special was on the horizon.

And I'm also of the age that I remember Forest being European Cup winners - so to completely outplay them was incredible.

Dirk Gently Forest

And Scott Murray had a blinder that day too.

Unbelievable.
