I thought Oster was OK today. The usual boo boys were reasonably tight lipped in Y20, but when he was subbbed there was still a few boo's.

To all the Oster boo boys I would just like to say I hope the sh*t fairy visits your house tonight and lays a dark one in your bed!

Agreed

Should be scored from Doyles pull back in the second half but fair play to Oster he had a decent game.

He had a better game today, but he's still not good enough.

Good enough for what?

He was good enough today to play in a team that beat fellow relegation prospects and got a welcome three points. That, my son, is good enough for me.

I'm not an Oster fan. Usually his complete refusal to play the simple ball or to lay it off before he gets into trouble infuriates me. However, I thought he did well today and if Kitson and Doyle hadn't been so poor in the box, it would have seemed like Oster was our main creative source.

Idiots behind me gave him grief from start to finish and before he had even touched the ball.

Loved how irritated they were that the applause he got drowned out the moaners.

Royalee obviously suffers from the same lack of vision and tactical awareness as some of the players who are incapable of reading Osters and Mareks passes.

Fair play to him. There were people who came along with only one thing in mind and that was to give him grief. Thought he was terrific today, and hopefully he showed some of these people up. Well played Johnny.

I've read some boll*x on here over the years but this is taking it to the extremes of the universe. Class player. Vision. Too good for his teammates. Even putting him in the same category as Matty. I didn't boo Oster and never will but where was the "vision" when in the first half he was running through on goal and had at least 2 teammates to thread the ball through too? Where was the "class" in the second half when he had the whole goal in front of him and skied it over the goal because of poor technique. Class player my absolute ar*e. Yes he made a few decent crosses - almost made up for the carp ones. Can't even be trusted to take corners and free kicks. Played o.k.? Possibly. But is that really good enough? Just because we won don't let's cloud another unsatisfactory performance from "the player who's too good for his teammates". I've never heard so much drivel.

Can't be trusted to take free kicks? You must have missed the assist for Bikey's first.

Do you mean "cross"? This isn't bloddy fantasy football, you know.

One free kick? That makes up for everything then. Great player - can get a ball over to a teammate in the box. I could never do that when I played sunday morning football - not with such precision and weighting. Clearly worth his place in the side. Sign him up for 5 years. Treble his wages. Just what we need. Is there some kind of terrible 60's spy series mist that descends upon the Madejski affecting people's otherwise good judgement?

I don't see why you need to use so many words to vent your anger.
We get the picture, you think he's carp, get over it.

Well done to Oster for a good game today. Considering he was out for a long time with injury it does take time to get back up to speed and we are now seeing a much better player.

Maybe the boo boys will lay off if for a while - but sadly I doubt it.

see this is the thing. i keep coming with an open mind and being near the pitch i shouted lots of encouragement to him just like i do all the other players. but as one of the people who has supported his cause for ages and said he would come good in the end i'm surprised to hear so many people saying he did ok today, let alone terrific! i like him (or rather liked him) as a player and i thought he just needed a few games to get going but personally i can't see him being here next season.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz preconceptions really bore me

Good enough to start in a side that has won three out of the last four games

two crucial assists within the past two games

muffed up several times today...........just like Doyle, Rosenior and Matty

no better no worse than several of our heroes today

Copps, please start with the same 11 next week, thank you.
