Most, if not all of the obvious one's have been mentioned, but three others which spring to mind:

Reading 3 Millwall 3 (1982-83) mass protest from the town up to the ground over the proposed Maxwell merger, a big relegation game against the 'Wall' and we were 3-0 up after about 20 minutes, they had 2 sent off, fought back and got a draw, there was a pitch invasion, and we got chased about 2/3 times back into town after the game. All great fun when you are 14 years old!

Reading 4 Chesterfield 2 (1985-86) part of the record run, under the floodlights, we absolutely battered them that night. I think we got about 25 corners, and big Trev got a hat trick.

Chesterfield 2 Reading 4 (1988-89) last game of the season 0-2 down at half time, most of us on the Saltergate terrace that day thought we were heading into Div4, and then an amazing 2nd half... We stayed up, and Chesterfield went down.

1. Reading 4-3 Plymouth Argyle
2. Reading 3-2 Middlesbrough
3. Reading 4-3 Oxford United

Nothing like a good come back to really make a game something special

The Wigan midweek play off semi second leg at home... It was exciting, we had helicopters, baloons stopping play, a pitch invasion and police horses on the pitch and we won.

Middlesborough - our first Prem game

Reading 5-0 Derby, what a party!

Franchise FC Go on then - I'll join in

Reading 4 Plymouth 3 85-86. We were 3-0 down with 25 minutes left, then enter Mad Max !!
Leicester 1 Reading 1 05-06. Not a great game but the relevance says it all
Reading 3 Middlesbrough 2 06-07. After 20 minutes I thought we were out of our depth, but hey, what do I know. This was probably the most important result of the season in that it proved we could perform at that level (even though it was only Middlesbrough.

There's hundreds of others :
Newport away 85-86 - 12th win on the trot (in fact, any of those 13)
Simod Cup Final
Swansea 1 Reading 6
Wolves 2 Reading 3 (we were 2-0 down and I was in a hospitality box with 8 Wolves fans)
Port Vale 0 Reading 3 78-79 (11th clean sheet and won the 4th division - wins the award for the most ridiculous weather at a game - in fact, any of those 11)
Barnsley 2 Reading 3 (Barnsley were going for promotion, we were doomed to relegation, went 2-0 up, got pegged back to 2-2 and Kerry Dixon won it
late)
Doncaster 7 Reading 5 - enough said
Reading 7 Barnsley 0

Let's hope I can add a few to these !!

Exeter 4 Reading 6 (Can;t remember what season it was) but I was sat in the home section of the crowd and Reading went in to a 4-0 lead, when some home supporter commented that Exeter would win 5-4. When they hauled it back to 4-4 I was a but worried but inthe end we ran out comfortable 6-4 winners!!

Another memorable win was a 3-1 away win at Palace with a memorable 25 yarder from Martin Hicks and a virtuoso performance from Paul Canoville.

85/6 Reading 4 Plymouth 3 - massively important game, and impossible comeback

05/6 Reading 5 Derby 0 - 0-0 at half time (I think) - but what a way to seal our greatest trophy to date

Simod cup Reading 4 Luton 1 - as said a lot on other posts this week. A mediocre Reading took a top Div 1 outfit apart in a vaguely meaningful match

Lots of other great matches I can get excited about e.g Wigan play-off semi, Archie's comeback against Wolves, beating Liverpool, but the above stand out because they all mattered.

Swansea 1 Reading 6
A quite remarkable game, and as the BBC Wales radio reporter said after the game "don't laugh, but Swansea weren't that bad". It was just a day when it clicked. An even opening half hour saw us score with our first three decent chances, only for Swansea to pull it back to 3-1 almost immediately. After that we we totally battered by them, and you felt 3-2 and 3-3 were inevitible. Then we got a breakaway with about 15 minutes to go to make it 4-1 and they just collapsed. We were completely rampant after that, banging in two more right in front of the away fans.

Exeter 4 Reading 6
Perhaps the most bizarre game I've been to. A perfect start, with them losing a player to injury after 30 seconds, and from the restart we scored. The lost another player - their keeper - as he landed badly after a total mis-kick, allowing Lovell a tap-in for 3-1. Scott Taylor headed in the 4th before the sub keeper had even touched the ball. They pulled it back to 4-2 in the second half, and a few joked that "wouldn't it be funny if they made it 4-4". When it was 4-4 about 20 minutes later, the joke wasn't quite as funny. We stormed forward and got two more to win in - the 5th an absolute belter from Quinny - and people left their ground shaking their heads, unable to believe what they'd seen.

There are perhaps more obvious examples but for a third I'll pick Reading 2 Bolton 1 from 94/95. The southbank was probably never louder nor more raucous than for that match, and I left convinced were were destined to go up to the premiership. Everything just seemed to be falling into place for us.
