I've been saying for a few weeks now that Hunt's not been up to it since the turn of the year. Oster was much improved today and worked harder while producing end product, particularly in the first half. Hunt has to play at his maximum every week to be worth a place in the team for me, which he hasn't been doing lately. Both he and Doyle were very poor indeed this afternoon.

Alan Partridge Utterly atrocious footballer.

That is all.

let's have another look at this opening post.

a. fair, objective, realistic criticism?
b. witty, cutting edge humour?
c. none of the above?

Gus could do a poll.

Chaney not as many as golden bollocks Hunt that can do no wrong

On a general basis though, Oster always makes mistakes, Hunt does but fewer.
People are making an awful lot of assumptions based on one game.

That is because Oster actually tries to do something out of the ordinary, compared to Hunt who just runs into players all day

Hunt has been a great servant to the club, but he has been found out at this level, and if an offer of over 3m comes in for him, then we should laugh all the way to the bank

Sorry, but I don't really count "trying" as anything unless it produces something. I'd much rather players did ordinary stuff and it came off.

You're absoloutely spot on, so lets just hoof the ball up to Doyle and Kitson everytime we get it then, as that is the most simple way, and it is impossible to mess that up

Royal Rother Hunt has got a fantastic heart, never ever gives anything less than 100% and reads a game extremely well as evidenced by him regularly getting into excellent goal-scoring positions. It's a damn shame that he's a crap finisher and that his brain seems to shut down when in the penalty area.

...and when he's interviewed. Lovely guy but dense as f**k.

it does say a lot though that so far, my player of the season goes to james harper....

hunt can be effective theres no doubt, but work rate should not be looked on as the 'holy grail' to a footballers contribution-especially as a winger. You are there to cross and beat people be it with skill or pace not to be embroiled in battles that the defence or central midfield can take care of. Im not knocking his workrate, and hunts fitness is of the highest order but on a few occaisions the way hunt plays his game has its limitations. With this in mind player of the season would not go to him thus far.

kitson would be close to player of the season if it wasnt for his slight down turn in form since his drink driving charges. I dont think you can totally over look hanehmann over the course of this season either (bar his awful kicking!)

Don't actually think I said anything about that.

What I mean, is that I would prefer a player pass it to someone who is obviously open and can see what you are doing, than having someone play a very clever pass that might be brilliant but no-one else really knows about.

I realise my explanation will actually make no sense to anyone, but I know what I mean.

I take it that by something out of the ordinary you mean constantly give the ball away?

What awful kicking? No awful kicking today. Besides he's a goalkeeper not an outfield player and compares no less favourably to other goalkeepers with his kicking.

stop being sensible - Hunt's sh*t partridge says so - unless of course he's just annoyed because we might not actually get relegated, despite what the whiney pr*ck's been saying since about July
