SCIAG Karacan, physical? Come off it. He scraps like Harper, but that's it. He's 5"7ish
Also, isn't Valislev Bulgarian?
Sorry if this is four pages after SOB's post

I was corrected on Valislev's nationality earlier. I knew it was somewhere East of Dover.

As for Karacan, he's a dynamic little midfielder who, from all the games I've seen him play, loves the physical battle of being in the middle of the park.

He might not be physically big, but his game is based a lot on getting around the pitch, making tackles and timing his runs.

You don't have to be a man mountain to be a physical player, just ask the likes of Gooding and Denis Wise. I was also making a comparison between him and Sigurdsson, not him and Terry Hurlock.

Rev Algenon Stickleback H for those on tenterhooks about the score, and sod the details, then...

good to see Swindon lost

Did Simon Cox score another goal that was out of this world in a glorified training session?

Mixed feelings after reading that.

concerned at a) poor passing, b) Lita's finishing staying the same as last season and c) R-K injury
Impressed at a) Kebe seemingly involved in a lot of attacks, b) winning, c) Convey creating and c) Karacan scoring.

Still early days and a team missing many first teamers and even squad players.

Rawlie19 Reading: Hahnemann; Rosenior, Shorey, Bennett, Ingimarsson (c); Karacan, Sigurdsson, Kebe (Spence 81), Convey; Church (Robson-Kanu 59 (Bignall 80), Lita
Subs: Andersen, Spence, Bignall

woo hoo I don't have to cry

Hang on a mo... so did Robson-Kanu go upfront and then have to come off injured?
Does anyone know anything about Spence? I've never heard of him.. I think.

OS report says he got injured after 20 minutes yes.

All I can remember about Spence is that he's a fullback. I get him and the other full back mixed up, but I think he's the lad who is right footed but plays a lot at left back and is very very quick.

He was at the academy with me, don't know much about him as a player now, haven't really seen or spoken to him in a good few years..but back then he was a strong physical player, no nonsense..

cheers dude..

so not really a creative right winger?

It's a fitness exercise, nothing to worry about.

I thought Kelly was the right footed left back ?
Kelly is coloured - if that helps the id !
I think Spence is also a fullback though....

Aha, thats the other one.

I've only seen them both play a couple of time but from that they seemed very similar as players and I get them mixed up, but I might be way off with Spence then.

Rawlie19 I didn't accuse you of anything regarding Sulky and Oyster. I was just commenting on your last post. You were slatting Jimmy straight away so what sort of support is that? Players like him who have had very little game time need to get these games under their belts and build confidence. Sure, with the season we just had most of our players need confidence, but we know what they can do at Championship level, Coppell knows what they can do at Championship level, and THEY know what they can do at Championship level. Jimmy is new to this and needs time. I hope he is more Kanouté than Savage.

No connection between what is posted on a messageboard and support.

From what I've seen of Kebe he lacks the ability to control or pass the football, and has no attributes apart from running quickly. I will however be offering him my full support, along with every other player in the team, whatever league or quality they are, conditional on them trying as hard as they can. Many people have made a judgement that Kebe is shit based on what they have seen, whether this is true or not remains to be seen but people. If Kebe reads this site and takes it to heart then he shouldn't be a professional footballer anyway.

Also I'm fed up of being on the defend the player side of the fence. Maybe it's my turn to irrationally slate someone I don't rate for a change.

Maybe us Kebe unimpresseders are performing a service by making the rest of you love him all the more.

I am hoping against hope that Kebe has a bloody brilliant season along with everybody who dons the hoops then maybe all these frankly pretty tedious debates about what we should be doing in the transfer market can be forgotten as a bad memory, but I have to say that he looked so far out of his depth against Arsenal that I doubt a Forest Green player would have looked any worse.

However, as I have pointed out several times already, the 5 games Kebe appeared in in the PL were against Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, M'Boro and Villa - he is unlikely to be facing defenders of that quality next season, so he certainly deserves a chance and his undoubted speed might just be a very dangerous weapon if he can then produce a final ball of half reasonable standard.

Come on Jimmy!!!

ya boo he sucks.

He is Coppell's love child.

He is the worst player in the world and the worst signing in the world

He has the control of Lloyd Owusu and the strength of Paul Brooker.

If he plays all season we will be relegated for sure and the world will end with everyone dying.

After 2 games with Kebe playing 12,000 of our STHs will tear up their cards and go and support Swindon or Oxford.

Nice sentiments, and I agree that if he plays I want him to be a success as that'll only be good for us.

Unfortunately he showed such a lack of the basic skills required to compete at this level I'll be amazed if he gets to play that many games let alone have much of a positive impact. It doesn't matter who you play against, your basic technique is there for all to see.

Lets get real, we would not have signed him if he did not have the basic technique to succeed in the championship.
