loyalroyal4life if chris iwelumo goes in Jan they are screwed
Kightly maybe, but Iwelumo is easily replaceable with the money they would get for selling him (being a sellers markets and all that guff he'd probably end up going for over £3 Million)

Y25 YES
Not even halfway through the season. We have had our bad patch.
The top 2 haven't.

yes but we are more prone than the top 2 to have another bad patch plus who is to say the top 2 will have a bad patch? i remember a team in season 2005-06 that got 106 points who did not have a bad patch

Percy's Rocket There is no way that 106 points will be matched..certainlly not this season. Wolves have had a great start but if you think back we just kept on and on picking up points..was it only 2 losses I recall ? unbelievable achievement..and this year we have seen teams lower down the league regualalrly puttingit together on their day and turning over the leaders.

floyd__streeteandrew1957 At the end of August Reading were 3 points behind Brum
At the end of September we were still 3 points behind
At the end of October we were 6 points behind and we are still 6 points behind.
This is hardly insurmountable - it just takes 2 wins for us and 2 losses for them.
What we need is some consistency where we win 6 games or so in a row.
No, but as you have shown that gap is actually growing as time goes on which is hardly ideal, I am sure you would agree with that. And as you personally got it so spectacularly wrong last time - crowing just after our last win in the Premier League at all those who dared to doubt- forgive me if I don't hold my breath waiting for this 6 game in a row winning streak; some of you are still confusing RFC 08/09 with RFC 05/06. And I notice how catching Wolves is already being conveniently overlooked; a pre-requisite I would have thought if we are to claim the divisional title as so many of you once expected us to

BR2 What result do we want from the Birmingham v Wolves game?
If Wolves win they will be miles ahead but if Birmingham win it does put them that bit further ahead of us but at least keeps Wolves within sight.
I think Birmingham to win is the best result for us and the chasing pack as it means BOTH promotion places remain whereas I do feel that Wolves winning means a hell of a lot of catching and I would prefer us to be chasing one of two automatic places rather than just the one.
Regardless of all this I still feel that the transfer window holds the key to it all.

rabidbee Or there's Option C, a draw, which would mean that a win on Monday would see us regain two points on both clubs.

Royal-DLG Id rather Wolves won, we only need 1 of the promotion spots and Birmingham being closest its logical we will catch them before we catch Wolves.
Either way we're going to need a decent unbeaten run if we're to go straight up, hopefully starting on Monday.
