Well it will be emotional.

Rovers away and Wigan at home are my two best games as a Reading fan.

Bolton and Walsall are the worst.

If we make it to Wembley the nearest I will get to attending will be The Grand Junction Arms by Harlesden Station. All are welcome.
A day out at Wembley? Don`t make me laugh, we will get slaughtered in the stands and probably beaten on the pitch whoever we play. I remember Whitehead trying to get the support going towards the end of the final at the Millenium Stadium in 2001 and shaking his head in frustration at 30000 plastics. A bad experience, not only because we lost and one I am not going to repeat.

So what you're saying is that a lot of the support is crap so consequently you'll stay away, making the crap supporters even more of a majority? Thanks a bunch!

I am afraid so. The club could address this by using some imagination with the distribution of tickets but RFC can`t be bothered with that.

Away leg against Cardiff, so one last opportunity to visit Ninian Park before it is demolished.

You can't be clinging on anymore though, surely? We're dropping faster than Leroy Lita's pants!

Sheffield Utd within 3 points of Birmingham now though. Well if it stays 1-0...

Victory for Sheff Utd. Friday is now a must win. Nothing has technically changed this week, win every game and we're up. However there is no room for any mistakes now.

Win every remaining game. Hmmm. It CAN happen.

I've seen a baseball team win 21 straight to go from no hope for the playoffs to go all the way to the world series.

I've seen U.S. football teams go on a hot streak at the end of a season and take a mediocre record all the way to win the Superbowl.

I've seen fire and I've seen rain...

Streaks both good and bad have beginnings and endings. What concerns me is that this season (to-date) marks the second where we enter a bad streak and don't seem capable of pulling ourselves out of it.

Still, it would be poetic to go up on goal difference at the very end of the season; would sort of cancel out the end of last season.

HTF we are still in the top half of the table beats me!

If recent form continues we won't even make the play-offs. Still, if we do, it'll be academic because the club haven't got the will and the players haven't got the bottle to get through it anyway.

I make no apologies for the obvious cynacism but, with certain unnamed players the signing of their contract extensions seemed to be immediately followed by a complete collapse in form and effort.

In future the rule should be that no extensions are signed between the end of December and the end of the season. C'mon SC: this is the third season with the club that this post Christmas collapse in form happened under your management.

Some of you will hate me for saying this but I'm actually happy Sheff Utd won tonight and the reason is it will give us and Coppell a right royal kick up the arse. For the first time in a few months this game is a massive one and what Reading need is a massive game right now. There has been no urgency as the teams we've been playing have all been puttin half hearted efforts in and its rubbed off on us. Now we are playing a team on real momentum and theres a real rivalry there. We win that game and automatic is still in our hands, we lose and we can say goodbye to anything. However imo a lot depends on Coppell's team selection- and theres where my confidence fades

It didn't, did it Jeffers me old mucker?

Play-offs seem a little optimistic at the moment, but we should be a shoe in.

RIP automatic promotion.

If we lose to Blackpool and Preston win their two Easter games they are only one point behind us. Preston are currently outside the play-off positions.
As it happens I thought the commitment was really good today....but two or three key players, ie SHunt and Doyle are so badly off form...bring in Tabb ahead of Hunt and NHunt ahead of Doyle.

We're back to last season with Doyle. He just can't do anything to get a goal. His all round game is pretty good, but I'd agree with dropping him for NHunt to see what happens. I'd agree with dropping SHunt as well. He looked poor today. I'd add Kebe who's final ball is awful.

In fact I'd make quite a few changes.

Hahnemann
Murty/Kelly/Rosenior, Bikey, Pearce, Armstrong
Little, Karacan, Matejovsky, Tabb
NHunt, Kitson

Don't care who plays at right back. There are pros and cons to all of them.

Yep Doyle is very much back to last season but he isn't in the box enough....running down the flanks all the bloody time. There were times today when at best we had one striker in the box waiting for a cross to come in.
I agree about Kebe being dropped but I dont think Glenda is up to it.
I cant see Karacan playing again this season.
Agree with you about Pearce coming in for Duberry.
Two points out of eighteen in our last six home games is barely believable
