Tamworth_Royal
winchester_royal Looks to me as if the second half team is BR's current first choice team.

4-4-1-1 oh dear

More likely a 4-2-3-1.

The kind of formation which produced 2 of our best performances last season.

Swap in Long for Church and it's our strongest line up with the current squad available at the start of the season IMO.

I see it as more of a 4-3-3 given Henry and Kebe's very attacking nature.

I could see Henry getting 10 - 15 goals this season if he starts the majority of games.

We so need some signings if this is our strongest team.

Interesting to see that Pearce was captain in the second half despite Harper playing

In all seriousness, do you guys think this team is good enough to get us promoted? Personally I don't.

Nonsense. A fantastic blend of youth, experience and class.

Would be happy if that team started against Forest.

I'd be happy going into the season starting with that line up.

But that doesn't matter, seeing as we're going to be making signings.

Do I think it's good enough to get us promoted? the first 11 as discussed, maybe.

didn't know we could play 2 first halfs? and love it how in the actual first half, 3 of the defenders were actual midfielders, Shunt, Gunnar, and Davies, brilliant...

That's what you get when you head into a season with a squad packed with youngsters. But it's what most, including myself, wanted.

No point in having an academy if you don't use it.

Federici - young and exciting prospect who has shown he can play to a Premier League level. Now he just has to prove it consistently
Rosenior - Premier League experienced, but still in his prime - IMO one of the weaker links
Armstrong - solid & dependable. POTS last season in a team that finished 4th
Pearce - exciting young prospect that is highly rated
Cisse - potential weak leak in defence, but has put in very good performances there, even at PL level.
Henry - Extremely exciting young talent that is highly rated
Harper - PL experienced player who has been a lynchpin for Reading for years
Karacan - young and extremely exciting prospect who comes highly rated
Matejovsky - Czech Republic International who is highly thought of
Long - Young striker who really began to come good at the end of last season (we also may have Nhunt back in time for the new season who appears to have been a significant difference in the team that scored a lot last season and the team that didn't)
Kebe - Exciting, if frustrating winger, who if he achieves some consistency could tear the division apart. potential weak link though.

That looks pretty great to me for a team yet to make a signing and that have just lost their top scorer and several other important senior players.

It's more about fitness at this stage. doesn't really matter where they play. Hence Feds playing upfront in a game last year.
