Start a "back from the game" thread! there were only 800 or so (please note StatBall that that means 800 or more) people there!

Wow, you're absolutely right. Lets call for the managers head and re-sign Murty while we're over reacting.

Correct, because it doesn't bode anything for the season.

Pre Season 2005/2006

Conference side Farnborough away

1-0 up

Lost 2-1

Therefore preseason results/performances mean absolutely nothing.

For the record though I thought we looked better at keeping possession than last season but if you don't do anything with it then you might as well not have the ball at all. And perhaps there's just too much youth in the team.

Still all that would be more information for Clodagh and hopefully things will get better.

I was at the Tooting game.

The only player on that pitch who looked like he could make an impact on our first team (Not including the first teamers like Bikey and Armstrong) is Sigurdsson. The rest were not really good enough although young Angus at the back looks like he could one day get in as well.

Antonio doesn't look good enough, Bozanic doesn't look like he has enough quality, Bryant looked poor. Having said that they are all young and have time to improve. But right now only Gylfi looks like he is knocking on the door of the first team.

Actually I forgot to mention Davies. He looks like he could be a player. He played some excellent balls into Mooney from the right back position that split the Tooting defence.

I absolutely agree. And you don't really need to say "not including Bikey", he was poor. Take away the free kick and you're left with a player who made 3 or 4 glaring mistakes.

Good to get out on loan and get that regular playing experience, but its a shame as I think he is better than this level.

Mooney was crap to be honest. He really should have scored. He did well to get into goal scoring positions and therefore have chances (although this was Tooting that we were up against) but then he fluffed every chance he had. He had about 4 or 5 decent chances. Maybe some of those were half type chances but he really should have got at least one goal if he wants to be considered a decent striker. A good striker would have come away with at least a brace from the chances that Mooney had.
