Platypuss some kamikaze Newcastle defending.

O, for Titus Bramble to still be at SJP.

I echo most of the sentiments here - everything's great going forward until the crux. Maybe another Gylfi screamer is needed...

Very impressed with the effort and energy of the young lads, however we are the same as 2 years ago with no creativity from midfield abd no sign of any chances or shots on goals being created. You cant deny the efforts of Karacan, Davies Church etc.......but we need some experience in there in the shape of someone who can see a pass...........oh we have Marek !

As I see it, Long just terrible; can't keep the ball, passing poor and at his feet he looks a bit like a lost lamb. Kebe is what we get every week; doesn't seem to know what the ball will do himself, never looks comfortable. He's like a disabled Glen Little. Church is a striker, play him as a striker! The shape is poor, players not tracking back and covering (Church and Kebe mostly).

No sign of where the goals will come from. It's pretty frightening to be honest!

I agree Church is playing out of position. Hardly ideal when he has just stepped into the side. Think you are a bit harsh on Long. He does make a nuisance of himself by harrying their defenders and has made his share of tackles.

comeonthebiscuitmen missed the goal - what happened?

Newcastle cross from the left and their player headed it across and past Feds...good cross and header in fairness.
Newcastle are playing down the left hand flank all the time.

For all the criticism he gets on here, just thought I would point out that although Newcastle are coming at us down the left a lot (they dont have a right winger btw) Rosenoir has had a very good first half

Missed last weeks game but from what people rated & how he looks today - Davies is going to have a big impact this year!

Have to say I think we're going to get murdered on corners this year.

Will be better if/when Bikey is back - but it doesn't look good.

I'm going to whisper this very carefully, but I turned a free £10 bet into £28 with a Sunderland win at Bolton. I then chucked all £28 on NEWCASTLE  It pays about £65.

What I don't want today is a draw. :?

Gord lord, one of the worse strikers in the league scores 2 against us.

Have we had a shot on target yet ?
