Makes you wonder if Henry will ever make it in RFC colours - I'd have thought this season would have been his great chance, but even before we signed McA he was well down the pecking order with HRK being ahead of him.

Going from his performances this season, it is of no surprise really. Attitude and performance levels have not been good enough, I can't see him being part of our plans ongoing

A New Youth Loan apparently - no maximum limit on it by the looks of thinks but 24 hour recall after the first 28 days.

He'll be a Millwall player full time come Jan in my opinion. BR was singing his praised pre season but hasn't really used him, so think this is the beginning of the end.

Maguire
Sun Tzu We'll have a better idea in 10-12 games I would guess.

I think 9.

I think by no later than half-time in the 8th.

Interesting. Anybody going lower than this?

Interestingly Henry can still play in reserve games for us - if Millwall agree!

Millwall seem pleased with themselves.

Henry hasn't had the application here in pre-season or when I've seen him play, methinks he's been rumbled and he could well be off if someone wants him.

Wouldn't be much of a loss on the playing side, but he's actually a local so would be a loss in that regard.

Can't help feeling that there is a touch of James Lambert about him.

Let us hope that he just needs a good loan and comes back raring to go. I think we all want local lads to do well and I still hope that he makes it here but as I have said elsewhere he does not seem to have made the progress that I am sure the club would have expected.

You really must believe that we should have played him last season, wasn't WR moaning that he should have been playing here in the promotion push, now looks like two managers do not think he is ready for this level.

Yep was thinking of W_R (get it right)'s complaints about Coppell not playing him. Looks like he has an attitude problem or does not train well.

If you're referring to me, then I certainly wasn't the loudest voice on here calling for him to play. I didn't see the point of him being out on loan while we were going through a dry spell, particularly after he changed the game when he came on against Norwich, and did well against Brum.

He's a good player, but he needs games, and BR recognises that.

You have to agree there's something not quite right about him. I can see he has talent but maybe it's not directed in the right way.

I doubt Rodgers thinks he just needs games. If he did then Henry would surely have played instead of HRK.

I still think it's interesting that his only appearances (in the cup) seem to have seen him play centrally. Looks to me like he'll be a Millwall player come February.

Have to agree with this.

The guy clearly has the ability, but just get the feeling he will waste it all.

This is the danger with so many youngsters these days. They get a pro contract and they think that they have made it and go right off the boil. It is possible that the level of expectation on his shoulders weighs too heavily. At Millwall he can possibly relax. Then agin, they are hardly the most patient or tolerant of supporters in that part of London twinned with Helmand Province

They really liked him last season though so he may be able to have a few poor games before they want to blow him up!

He was one of our most highly rated youngsters for a long time, he just hasn't moved on from the stage of potential to becoming a player who actually bears fruit for the club. He's still only 20, I think he should be given more time and a loan is just the right idea. We don't want to sell him on prematurely just because he's not yet ready for the team like we did with Simon Cox.

Not if he thinks HRK would do a better job for the team.

Millwall want to sign him on a permanent deal in January. Unless there's a huge turn around in events, James Henry's Reading career is all but over. Attitude and body language have been poor in training, average to effortless reserve team performances as well. It's in his hands basically. Head down and impress and come back eager to break into the side, or leave and do it elsewhere at a lower level.
